Everyone else who leaves a poor feedback is just because they had a bad experience on that day. Its not the workers fault for doing their job. They have to follow the rules and regulations of the store. You all have to take into consideration that in the retail business anywhere, its gonna be the same thing with rules and regulations. Just cause you couldnt get your way doesnt mean to post all mean things about the overall performance of the store. I, personally, have been going to Stop & Shop since they first opened after Almacs closed down. My family goes there, too. I cant say that their service is excellent, but I can say that if you need help and theyre on the floor, you can always go to someone and they do try and help you the best way they can. The store is clean and the only time it isnt when people let their kids run around unattended for and they destroy things. They COULD do better with their PRICES to attract more customers. BETTER QUALITY + LOWER PRICES = MORE CUSTOMERS. LESS QUALITY - POOR SERVICE = ANGRIER & LESSER CUSTOMERS..........Just saying. I shop around to cheaper stores with same quality. On a fixed Income we all basically have in this economy today, we have to shop where it is cheaper, even if it means poor service. If its not on the shelves and you cant find someone to help and check in the back, well then that just means we go to the next store. The only thing I love about Stop & Shop is their BAKERY DEPARTMENT & PRODUCE DEPARTMENT. Other than that I can go somewhere else for the rest, just cheaper. HAPPY SHOPPING & SAVING MONEY!!!!!!!

Im writing this review because the cashiers have over charged me (by scanning items twice) on a few separate occasions. When I realized their error on my receipt the store has refunded my money but the clerk at the customer service desk wasnt very friendly. This happened again tonight, before closing. I caught the error immediately this time but was told that I have to return tomorrow because the service desk is closed. In addition, the local sales paper (with their store addressed) had an item on sale but the store did not charge me the sale price, maybe theyll honor it tomorrow. On a positive note, the manger/supervisor handled the situation well tonight. I wasnt happy with her response but she wasnt rude, she said come back tomorrow and shed take care. Update to come pending tomorrows experience. Until then ** rating Update * rating dealt with the same lady she did not honor the price in the sales paper. Silly her, I was refunded instead and the store lost money. Ill bring my business elsewhere.

This place is so disgusting. They NEVER wipe down where You put YOUR FOOD -on the scanners! Left doors lock at 10 while pple pry the doors open to get in the locked door INSTEAD of going into the Unlocked Side. A lot of the customers make this place even worse. The pple are just so unsavory.

The checkout always seems packed never enough cashiers in the building. Otherwise employees are always very nice And The building is always clean great store other than checkout give yourself at least 30 minutes to check out!!!

waited over an hour in line to get 4 items on a Sunday night. there was no reason for it. if they opened half of the closed registers there wouldnt have been lines down the isles. always a disappointment at this location

I got there at 8:50pm on a sunday and had 10 minutes before they closed; i had to buy my baby formula and they declined me to go inside real quick to grab the formula. Wont be coming to this one ever again!
