Terrible shopping experience!!Shoprite has been my favorite grocery store until now! I refused shopping bag since I had only 9 items and wanted to load my items on to the cart after they were duly scanned..The cranky employee insisted that she mark every item with a paid sticker. Of course each item had to be marked paid and she was clearly inefficient and struggled to mark each item with the sticker..I sympathized with her and finally gave into the idea of limiting my purchase to 2 plastic bags..I forgot to use a coupon on a 2$ juice bottle and went back to customer service to settle accounts ..After that was done and I was heading out with my cart, the same employee who checked me out, stopped me and insisted that she inspect my bags..Why me?? I breached no security norms nor did the alarms sound or had I shoplifted anything!!!!Too bad shoprite just lost a loyal 7 year customer!!

I have been going to Shop Rite since 1996. They have a great ethnic section, and a large verity of prepackaged products. They also have nice sales. Unfortunately the produce departments fruit section is lacking. Also the meet section has a wide selection but is displayed poorly. Finally, last week I got ground beef on the 11th and the expiration date was on the 11th. I did not notice until the following morning when I went to use the meet which had turned brown. when I tried to return it; I was told this was how Ground beef would be package going forward and that the beef went brown because the meet had no preservatives in it. They where not be able to honor a refund. I was confused and annoyed. The incident left me feeling as if I should no longer be shopping at shop rite. I mention I have been going there since 1996. During all that time I have never asked for a refund.

It needs a remodel badly, the selection is decent at best and the layout is poor. There are usually lines that reach out into the grocery aisles as well. The only reason why this place is still popular is because of the locals who wont shop elsewhere. (Edit 3/16/17: The store is currently under a major remodel, and it seems to be shaping up nicely, the store looks much less late 90s/Early 2000s. The new, faster front end setup and the rumor of self-checkout kiosks seem to make this store a more convenient local quick shop stop. Im looking forward to the changes they make to the store. Upped review from 2 stars to 3 stars.)

I really want to like this place, because it is between my home and office, but they NEVER have enough registers open, even during off-peak hours. I have on a few occasions walked through the store for 5 minutes to pick up a few things, and then left the basket with someone because I didnt want to wait 15 minutes to check out. Sometimes this is going on while two managers are at the front desk observing operations. They need to recognize this and open up another register or two when they see an influx in customers checking out.

The courtesy counter staff are terrible. They are rude and critical. I have watched them make fun of customers and treat the customer as if we were pestering them. They dont put us first nor help us when theyre needed. I along with 4 other buying customers stood in line while the clerk counted cigarettes. Her excuse was.."you guys are gonna have to wait because I need to get out of here on time".. Unreal. Ill be driving out of my way to go to Giant just to avoid the courtesy counter employees.... Terrible...just terrible!

The prices are great, just like any other ShopRite, but the West Chester store is poorly laid out. This store is in desperate need of a major remodel. Being that ShopRite stores are part of a co-op system, they are owned by various operating companies and the quality of the stores varies. Whats surprising is that the same people who own the West Chester store also own the new ShopRite in Hatfield which is the nicest ShopRite store Ive ever seen.

This place is horrible every time I get produce Im here it goes bad immediately do you want go pro to go to giant I drive all the way to Giant to make sure that Im going to be worth it. I moved near the supermarket because I thought that it was going to be the same like in Philadelphia and its nowhere near like the same its always crowded the parking lot is always a hot mess. The employees are extremely rude it takes nothing but a smile or hI.

Had a problem with a scan right item coming up wrong and them not honoring their policy of item being free. Minutes after received a call from the manager Aaron apologizing to me saying that I should of received item for free. I was happy that he looking into the situation and corrected it was good to see that he followed up and didnt just blow it off happy with the customer service. Good location good prices and well maintained facility.

Decent grocery store. Selection isnt all that great, but its good to have in a pinch, especially in the area its in. However, you have the time, there are much better options in the area to visit, especially if youre looking for more organic options. Customer service is pedestrian, ESPECIALLY at the deli, where the service depends on how the employees day is going.

Low Prices. Good Selection. The layout is awkward and confusing and you should avoid it on the first and third Friday of the month, but once you get used to it, its a great grocery store. Prices are the lowest of all the other local grocery stores. Theres a wide array of produce and other products. And you get $.5 cents off for every canvas bag you use!

When you can find employees they are seldom courteous or helpful. Cashiers vary from being competent and personable to curt and far less than helpful. Its almost like dealing with a government operation. No one seems like they (and you!) want to be there. Far different from Wegmans for example.

I go to this grocery store all the time. They have almost everything you need. They are very clean and organized. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rhey have really good prepared food like rotisseries and salads. They have a very good bakery also ( I like the sweet potato pie).

The store just got some remodeling. Looks great. Staff is always pleasant but sometimes they need more people at checkout. They now have 4 self check out machines so that has helped. The store feels a little "tight" during peak times with the flow pattern of customer traffic.

The cashiers/customer service stinks. But for the fact that theyre the only local market that sells halal meat, Id never enter this store. The cashiers need to be reminded that if it werent for the customers, they wouldnt have a job. Customer service training is needed ASAP!!

Horrible place. The employees are irritable, angry and many are rude. Ive never been to a grocery store this poorly managed. The layout is angled and closed off causing shoppers to get annoyed with each other. I will gladly go somewhere else.

Why shop rites ricipt is so complicated...customer never understand how much they paid for individual items!ricipt should b open like store entrance rather than like a maze!it keeps people away from store!good luck!
