I have a dog, a bird, and a snake and the ONLY reason I go to this store is because they are the closest place to buy feeder mice for my snake. Every time I go here, I have to spend several minutes searching for an employee to get mice. One time (and after spending 5-10 minutes searching for someone), I saw a guy at the register and asked him to get a couple mice. There were no customers behind me in line and I didnt remember seeing any other customers in the store...since I had walked through the store a couple times looking for someone that worked there. He said, and I quote, "isnt there someone else available?" I told him no, and he gave me a deep sigh and went to get the mice. I thought to myself: wow, sorry to inconvenience you!! Most of the employees I have encountered over the past two years have had this same type of attitude, with the exception of 2 people I can think of. Recently on a Sunday afternoon, one of those 2 people was at the register when I walked in. I saw she was ringing up customers so I tried looking for someone else to help me, but couldnt find anyone (what a surprise). When I got in line, there were several other customers either behind me in line or that needed help. After she made 3 store announcements stating that associates and a manager was needed up front, someone finally showed up 10 minutes later. She immediately went to get the mice for me and apologized for the wait, which was the first time anyone from that store had ever apologized for the wait.

I want to say that even though you will only find 3 or so employees in the main part of the store they will actually help you if you ask! Items are almost always in stock, store is clean and inviting! Lines are always moving. Youll even see managers ring you up or assist you. Pricing is a little higher than Petsmart but totally worth it!! I tried the grooming salon twice with both my dogs and while it was much much better than petsmart in terms of how the groomers acted towards you. I still didnt like how I always see them outside the door smoking a couple times during my dogs stay. I wouldn t mind the smoking breaks if they got my dogs back to me within a reasonable time. Since I run errands right around that part I can see that. I think they kept them for around 5 hours and maybe a little longer. (They are small dogs who are groomed once a month). The grooming prices are dirt cheap if youre having money issues.

I am very angry about my last visit to the groomers, while I took my dog just to get her ears cleaned I saw one of the groomers (she was only in training and I pray for the safety of other dogs when she gets a full time job) slapping and yelling at a beautiful while labradoodle. The poor dog was helpless and all it did was lift its paw when she was moving aggressively towards its face with the scissors. I immediately went to the manager and made sure that they will resolve that issue. I will never take my precious dog there again. That is just at the groomers- the staff at the actual store are very friendly and often chat with me and ask about my dog.

I will not be going back to the Petco in brier creek I went there a few weeks ago and bought three swordfish two females and a male and in two weeks both females die along with one of my Mollys due to a fungus deseas. When I was there looking at the fish there was multiple dead fish floating around in all the fish tanks. The fish did not look healthy and were beat up looking. The employee working there was very bad at her job. She didnt know a thing about fish and she didnt even look like she worked there. My experience there was bad I regret spending my money there one star

I really like that Petco has a rewards program. For every $100 spent you get a $5 reward which can be used with a coupon. Also, when you register online you can add your pet profiles and at their birthdays you get a coupon for free dog treats. (I wish Petsmart had a similar program) The staff at this Petco is okay, not as nice as the Petsmart. I do wish they had better lightning in this store; its kinda depressing. I love having Petco & Petsmart in one community, so I try to support both. When I take my dog out to town we visit both stores

Found clearence cat food proplan brand 12.5 lb on clearance. Sign said get $6 off on any 12.5lb bag of proplan or larger. The manager denied the additional 6 dollars off. I have gone back to the sign and took a picture. There is no mention of a restriction of any kind. Will send pic of sign and my receipt to Petco Corporate. Very dissatisfied with my purchase and the false advertising. Their Store policy also states I must be satisfied . Will see if they live up to their posted policy and signage.

I watched as one of the employees fed false information to a parent and their children that sand is "the perfect substrate" for geckos. And that you can "keep more than two geckos in a 20 gallon tank." This store needs to train their employees better.

They have more varieties of female guppies(fishes)compared to other nearby aquarium.Their service was good and they have 30 days exchange policy. They exchanged 4 of our dead fishes. Their staffs were so good.

Its tiny, but my pups seem to think its ok. Good price on sweaters for your furry friends. I love that but my pups do not feel the same. Customer service is nice and pleasant.

Staff is rude... your dogs will come home with FLIES! When you try to call the mananger will not pass on the phone and groomer will be really rude.

They do a great job at being in Stock but every time I come to the check out I have to wait for a worker to notice me.

They have a good assortment of pet foods and toys but I was a little disappointed at their selection of fish.
