Ok so heres how it goes. First I got a hamster named Shadow. I apparently"fed him too many seeds and he died of a disease called Wet Tail. but the thing is that the Petsmart owner NEVER told me about Wet Tail, or any disease for that matter. Then I got another hamster called Clover. I noticed how she had a strange gash on her leg. She died a few weeks later. I figured out it was a blood clot she got at the pet store. then I got 5 fish at different times. First one was sick at the store. they gave it to me and it died a few days later. Another fish was okay and a third is still alive. But the fourth one died, i noticed it had a bloated belly, it later died with a strange gash in his stomach. the fifth one died the day before. I got all these fish in a month. Pets are supposed to be special memories in your life. But when a store gives you sick animals. Theyre just making money, not memories. Never go to Petsmart

Just left this poor excuse for a groomer. Took my dogs to get their nails trimmed today. We have been going here for over two years and although my dogs are challenging they seem to always be able to get it done. Well today was definitely different. The girl that tried to get it done was intimedated by our 38 pound dogs and said that she couldnt get it done. I get it that a specific groomer can have trouble with some dogs but the lady that always has done a great job in the past wouldnt try to help her. They had the nerve to say they do not want us to bring the dogs back ever again for the dogs safety. Thats fine we will go somewhere else but like I said they been going there for two damn years. Smh.

Great place to go, horrible place to work. Primarily because of corporate but if you want to work for petsmart only give about 10% effort at work because you will be paid and treated exactly the same as someone who gives 150%. The corporate also finds any and every way to nickel and dime you out of your minimum wage and forget about becoming a full-time worker theyd rather hire a bunch of part-time employees. This review may be removed when i find a certain employee is treated and compensated fairly for the amount work this individual accomplishes.

I never write reviews but I could not contain myself. I have seen some terrible comments of petsmart by some people. And brushed them off as exaggerated animal activists. Today I saw this girl getting the dead fish out of a tank. While I saw her I noticed she had some breathing in the same bag. Told her about and her response was, "theyll be dead soon". You have to have love of life to work with animals and that is just cruel. And if you want brush my coments because it was just fish. Remember they are living creatures too.

I took my toy poodle to the Apex NC pet smart for the first time this weekend. I have never had any issues with grooming in Knightdale or north Raleigh. However when I got home I noticed a cut right next to her eye. Any closer and it wouldve been her eye...and what made it worse was the groomer had to know she nipped her while cutting but decided not to mention anything. Petsmart needs to do a better job training their groomers on how to properly groom and if something happens, making it known.

We purchased two guinea pigs 6-7 months ago. The long haired guinea soon had resp issues and continued with resp. infections and after $400 + in vet bills, recently got pneumonia. Manager, Rod, offered to help with current vet bill and it was decided to put the guinea out of his misery. Rod then offered a new guinea. Even though there may be some guineas that occasionally have health issues, we appreciate his sympathy and willingness to make things right!

I was in this PetSmart for over a half hour with no one assisting me. All of the employees were in the front joking around, and too busy to assist anyone. Then when I went to the restroom it was disgusting with both toilets full of bodily waste. It was horrifying!!! The store was clean only a couple months ago when I was last in there, but this time everything was dirty and no one would help me. Next time, Im going somewhere else!

Singed up for wellness plan, and was told a tooth extraction was a certain price. Wouldve never signed up for wellness plan at this not been given in writing. Morning of procedure was told there was an error in the quote, and it would be 300.00 more. Please learn from my mistake and dont ever sign up for the wellness plan. Over promised.....under delivered.

Condescending demeanor from store manager towards customers. Small animals kept in small closet-esque room while waiting to be sold or cared for. Moth larvae growing on bags of dog food kept in back of store. Disenfranchised young males working in stock room with poor customer and social skills and organizational skills. Awful, awful environment.

Who doesnt love a fun pet store with treats and where animals are allowed?! When my kids were younger this store almost passed as a field trip. They loved looking at all the animals and then finally picking out what we needed for our animals. They have a very generous return policy and actually encouraged us to "just take it home and try it".

Dakota got groomed today, first time by Shannon. After losing kelly his regular groomer, we were stuck and hesitate to bringing him Petsmart due to a bad experience long time ago. Shannon is really good and she got his cut perfect. Shannon is friendly and professional. We were blessed to find her. Ty Shannon for taking great care of dakota

Good place to take your dog to get dog food. The selection of natural food is much better than it used to be. We have taken our puppy to get groomed and theyve done a great job 3 times in a row so far. The training classes with Kristen are worth it, my dog will be a better dog with the training time and socialization hes getting there.

Visited this store tonight. I have never encountered such a rude manager. He made cutting comments, made faces and displayed negative body language behind my adult daughters back. I will never do business at this location again! I regret not getting his name and reporting his behavior to the corporate office.

Staff is very friendly, always ready to offer advice and give belly rubs. Unfortunately, I have to dock a star due to the promotion of choke chains, e-collars, prong/pinch collars, invisible fences, etc. For a more humane alternative store, check out Unleashed of Cary, right down the road!

Condescending cashier long lines and poor health of fish. I miss small mom and pop pet stores. As a fish and reptile enthusiast I am better off shopping online. The Petco I. Holly Springs is nicer has better selection and helpful staff.

Place is great. Selection, price and convenience is all there. Their Banfield service is great and just what we need. The place can get overly crowded with long lines and little room to move especially if there is an adoption event.

I bought the puppy coupon book and used that coupon to buy puppy stuff. when I tried returning something even after 2 days I had a very bad experience with it. Managers behave rudely, instead of assisting. PATHETIC
