Since this review in 2005, they have greatly improved! Better Associates, better Quality and yet still the best prices. Do the test, I challenge you: Make a big list of items you use the most. Take that list and shop for it once at FoodLion and once at Safeway, wow, you will be in for a surprise make sure your checking account is well balanced when you go to Safeway! If youre on a budget like us and dont always can or want to run to a whole sale club. FoodLion is your best choice. Make sure to sign up for the club card for extra savings.

Bought fresh romaine lettuce here this morning. When i went to wash it and cut it up, i found a dead fly, a dead ladybug, and a live mosquito type bug within the leaves. Gross
