Hey Safeway – clearly you dont pay attention to any other criticism when it comes to your customer service, so let me put it this way. You are losing a lot of money! Maybe that will get your attention. Ive finally had it. I have lived here for almost 4 years and Ive shopped at your grocery store. Every time I come, I say that this is the last time Im coming here. I have switched to other grocery stores, however, as time passes, I forget and end up back at Safeway ONLY due to proximity. Maybe its because I think theres no way its as bad as it was before. But, yes it has been this bad for four years. I actually think its getting worse. Not only are all customers forced to use self check out in long lines that run up the food rows, if you do you get the ONE cashier available, they are more frustrated than you about the way the store is managed and are either annoyed or slow because theres no positive management throughout the store. Also, I can never count on things being stocked properly. Prepared foods are prepared on Safeways time not the customers time and more times than I can count theyve been out of bags to even put your produce in. This isnt just me, this is known throughout the community, as it is a joke for many of my neighbors and friends. Imagine the money and opportunity youd have if you could just get it together....

Always understaffed, overcrowded with merchandiser displays so no room to move around aisles and lanes with carts. Often out of stock. Management apathy. Staff not treated well, or poorly hired/trained so that morale seems low. Never enough check out lanes open, so after a frustrating experience of shopping they add 8nsult to injury by making you wait what seems like an eternity to check out and leave. I have complained several time at store level and to Safeway Corporate but never see improvements. Appears to be apathy at all levels of the organization to the customer. I do everything I can to avoid this store, but alas it is closest to our home and often are crunched for time so I give it a go, hoping things may be different / finally improved. Of course, consistently disappointed with frustrating experience. When will I learn? Worth the extra hour to drive to Wegmans in Crofton. Safeway is the WORST grocery shopping experience. They even figure out how to make the Starbucks kiosk painful. Customers BEWARE!

If you like standing in lines this is the place to be. If you have a time crunch and in a rush do not shop here. They consistently always have one register open and lines down the isle. Lets just say your do not get what you pay for here. As much as there food costs I should not have to wait in lines and deal with rude employees there for I will shop at giant and weis for now on.

Id give this 3.5 to 4 stars. One of the people that works the self-checkout- Marc- gets 5 stars for friendliness and helpfulness. Some of the other regular checkout people are super nice, too. The problem with this Safeway is that they are oftentimes ransacked/out of stuff. Also, if it gets crowded, it quickly gets overwhelmed with long lines.

The gentleman unpacking food in the diary isle was so nice & very helpful. He asked what it was I was looking for and helped me get in and out of Safeway because sometimes Im in such a hurry I can overlook things. I love this safeway! I hope to see him again!

They never and I mean never have more than two registers open during high traffic times. You run in at 730 to pick up something for lunch and end up waiting on line for 20 minutes....unacceptable.
