Id like to review both grooming and my shopping experiences. I visit this Petsmart about once a month for various pet supplies since usually I go to petco for the better quality dog and cat food. At Petsmart they seem to have a larger selection of fish products so I buy them there. The employees at this location need to be trained to help customers and not just stand around talking in little groups. Ive had several experiences where Ive asked if they had something in stock and they would never come back. I mean I would wait about 20 minutes and then go look for them. The cashiers need to be able to ring up purchases in a reasonable time. This is always an issue, if you are third in line expect to be there for a long while. Your cashier will try to read labels and talk to you about every product you are buying, your pets, your life story. I bet the company forces them to chit chat with the customers but really that needs to be toned down. Grooming is Ok. The quality is ok and the attitudes of the groomers could use some help. I want the person taking my dogs to at least smile at me once. My dogs are never even tangled when I take them here and Im not one of those people who only gets them done twice a year. They go monthly and an extra visit before Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. But then again I will only use them when Im to late booking with my normal groomer. Ive spoken to other groomers and theyve said "they are mostly trained by Petsmart itself so usually you wont find great talent and if you do its because a new groomer moved into town and doesnt know where the good shops are. " Which was hilarious since I once got a groomer like that and got the BEST haircut ever. I went back and she was gone as she was only there for a couple weeks. Caution when you ask them to leave it about an inch long make sure you explain to them to NOT shave them to the skin!!!! Hair grows back but still come on.

We have the puppy plan for our German Shepherd Dog at Banfield and the staff at the hospital are very nice and professional. My only complaint about the hospital is that they spayed my dog too young. As a large breed dog she should have been spayed at 1 year or even at age 2 to prevent Spay Incontinence (now I know this...) if at all. Unfortunately, our dog will now have this problem for the rest of her life and takes daily medication to keep from leaking urine on herself. Renee, the dog trainer is AMAZING! Our GSD (who is now 16 months old) knows over 20 commands and has completed the puppy class, intermediate and is now in Advanced dog training. I highly recommend Renee as she is extremely knowledgeable about dog behavior and training. The classes get free re-takes. Our pup has completed 6 weeks of puppy class, 18 weeks of intermediate and we are going on 12 weeks of advanced (not always back to back, we spread out the classes). These training classes help prevent behavioral problems and are a great way to bond with your dog. My GSD has grown into my best-friend and I would say the training classes played a big part in that. Thanks, Renee!

I have taken my puppy to another petsmart location and loved it. This one I absolutely hated. First, the groomers are terrible and before I even signed in one groomer didnt even know how to brush the dog she had. I prayed she didnt end up with mine. Groomers had the "thats not in my job description" attitude and acted like they hated each other. When I was checked in, I was talked to like I had no clue what breed of dog I have. Let that slide..I was so nervous I literally got queasy when leaving and thought about going back to get my dog, but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Well, it was obvious who groomed my dog did not put effort, if any at all into his grooming. I paid for the full package, but my dog definitely looked like the discount price. Even paid extra to have nails clipped AND filed/grinded. His nails were rougher and sharper than when I brought him in. Honestly, it looked like a 3rd grader groomed him. I will be highly upset if my dog develops a dislike to getting groomed. Groomers are not friendly to customers or the pets....I will do it myself before I bring my dog back to this particular location.

Today we went to Brier Creek Petsmart store to get 2 Light Bulbs for a 10 gallon fish tank and new fish, as we cleaned the tank 24 hours ago (it had been set up for over 3 years and running - the fished died a few weeks ago). So the young man in the fish dept started to wait on us - asked us about our tank - we told him we cleaned the algea off it and did a water change - we wanted Angel fish - we got 4 little ones- then it was time for him to leave and an older man replaced him as we wanted 2 snails. The older gentleman was VERY RUDE - told us that we should not by Angel fish - as the tank was not set up long enough. He said they will die; we should not buy them - he said do you not know about Water Chemistry - lol ...little did he know my daughter is a chemist.. currently on her PHD....joke on him. He said keep your receipt as they will die within the 14 day warranty - you should not buy them - we got tired of his attitude and said fine... So your 25 -30 sale will go to another store. Mr. Manager - you should really take a look at the service this store provides. We wont be back..

I have brought my dog here for grooming several times since I moved to the area in April. I have mixed feelings, since the quality of the grooming really depends on the employee. I have had my dog taken care of by many of your staff members, but there are a couple who stand out. There is one girl, with reddish hair. I believe her name is Chase? She has always had a bubbly, and vivacious attitude every time Ive dealt with her. There hasnt been a moment where Ive seen her without a smile on her face. Her bathing is always quick, efficient, and it certainly never disappoints. I wish I could say the same for Keisha, and Kia. They always seem to have a negative attitude, and really just seem to never want to be there. They act like everything is a demand, and it makes me feel quite uncomfortable. Ive gotten dirty looks, eye rolls, and scoffs from the both of them. Ive also heard stories of them picking fights, and starting problems with other employees. It really is appalling. I would really appreciate if you reprimanded them for it, and I see Im not the only one whos had these problems.

I have been appalled at the service Ive received at this Pet Smart. I recently relocated to the area and have always had good experiences with Pet Smart in the past, however this location is truly terrible. I took my dog to get groomed there after making an appointment online and the staff in the grooming salon was so unprofessional it was mind boggling. I witnessed two of the women get into an altercation with each other and one actually hit the other one. Grown women. After seeing that I didnt even bother leaving my dog with them. I called and spoke with a manager after, Jackie, who was rude and short with me on the phone and seemed irritated that Id even bother to call. Needless to say, youre better off going ANYWHERE else to have your dog groomed.
