I feel so fortunate to live close to this great store. Their fabric selection is exceptional and the prices make it easy to practice my quilting without freaking out about breaking the bank. As I get better and better I am considering buying a couple of easier sewing patterns and making a few things for my kids and pattern selection in this store is also excellent. Displays are very well organized and I can find matching and coordinating fabrics easily just by walking in the same isle. My favorite are Robert Kaufman fabrics and they carry huge variety. Their flannels are high quality also and making flannel quilts can be totally addictive, so try it if you havent already. Salespeople are helpful and I have not had any problems getting help when needed. Their sewing notions section is decent, I just wish they carried Coats&Clark Machine Quilting threads, since thats the only reason I still go to JoAnns. In this economy so many of my favorite stores closed and I hope L+M fabrics is here to stay for many years to come.

Great selection of fabrics for quilters and clothiers. Most of the collections they have show all available colors which the staff works hard to keep neatly arranged. Items are also arranged by price point so that one can easily see which fabrics are within budget. Recently they have even begun arranging their discount flat folds by style and color. Great selection of party fabrics, faux furs, flannels, and quilting type cottons. Prices range from standard fabric store level for a few of the newest designs to around 25% of standard. A few times each year they have sales granting 20% off your purchase. The only reason this isnt a five star review is their selection of cotton denim and shirting fabric is very limited. Being a quilter I shop there several times a year.

Since the owners daughter took over the service is much better. No more babushkas giving you dirty looks if you pull out a bolt. I have never had any problem with the people in the front. The stacks in the back are shorter and some of the fancier fabrics, the rolls up high in the back are mostly gone. There are fewer furs but some are super high quality. No more stacked fur remnants though :( I have been going there since the mid 80s. I now live 60 miles away but I still love the place. And I am not too far from the garment district. They have a great selection of trims too.

I love this fabric store and know that I will find what I need because they have such a huge selection. I make a list and when I have several things on it I make the 65 mile trip. I also appreciate so much that once they cut your piece of fabric someone will whisk the bolt away and put it back. Unlike my local chain store that let the bolts pile up to ridiculous heights behind the cutting counter. They also have a few of the ladies who just go around and neaten up the bolts that people pull out to look at and dont replace. Great fabric store!

I disagree with all of the reviews I read, the staff there are idiots and have no clue on anything other than material. Sheeps wool, commonly used on Dreamcatchers and sometimes as batting! When I inquired whether they carry this product or not and I use the description they looked at me like I was an alien and had no knowledge of what it is or how to point me in the right direction staff here are idiots

Though they do have cheap fabrics they are always rude or unhelpful. (I have been here many times in the last 10 years) One night, I was literally kicked out and the lights were turned off on me 15 minutes before the store was supposed to close. More than enough time for them to cut the fabric I had in hand. If all you want is cheap fabric and dont mind poor customer service this is the place for you.

I have been sewing for almost 40 years. This is the best fabric store, and the prices cant be beat. AND, they have the pattern I needed, and are actually holding it for me, and I couldnt find it ANYWHERE else for any price. Clerks are REALLY helpful, but if they are having a sale...be ware, people drive from ALL OVER to come there, and the lines are long!

Your first trip thru the doors will be overwhelming with all the fabric. Bring a pattern to stay focused. Amazing place to shop for great quality of fabric name brands and more. Love this place. The employees are happy to help you find what you need. They have a wonderful flat fold fabric area approx $2.98 a yard too. Quilters paradise!

M & L has a huge selection in a roomy, well lit store. It is very well organized so finding the material you want, or even something you werent expecting, will be easy to locate. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of cutters so the wait times were minimal. Plenty of parking so you can get in and out easily.

I have been shopping here for years. Great fabric selections. The staff is great. If youre looking for something special they will help you find it. Their prices on Moda fabric are cheaper than anywhere else that I have found. There is so much to choose from that you could spend hours there.

Some staff are great and they have some who are not friendly or willing to help out if needed. There is a lady that works there and her name is America! She is always friendly and helpful in finding something specific. There is a huge fabric selection.
