Theres another branch the I live closer to but like many other businesses at 3 oclock in the morning it is closed which does not work for me because my life works around the night. this branch however it is 1 of the few that is open 24 hours a day, and frankly, is where I would prefer to go to shop even if I live a normal life and work a 9 to 5 job as they have a larger selection and a whos general overall facility is a lot nicer and better maintained. I give the store and all around 5 stars with the exception of their service however I dont think that my review is and I cant or fair reading because like most doors around 3 oclock in the morning they are primarily busy restalking their shelves and there for, keep most of their limited staff. But after being persistent in asking upper management I was able to acquire the necessary items that I wanted with impeccable service and customer appreciation thank you van nuys branch Ralphs. You make my life a little less a living hell. :-)

EVERY PERSON WHO CHECKS OR PACKS GROCERIES IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF TRAINING!! Packing grocery bags shouldnt be rocket science. Dont put raw meat or cleaning supplies with other foods, particularly not produce. Dont put my $3 each avocados with canned or other heavy foods. Produce should be separate. Heavy items should be loaded in the bottom of the cart, and crushable items (chips, etc.) should be on the top of the cart. Frozen foods should be together, as should refrigerated items. Dont assume that you have to overpack bags just because they arent free, especially if the customer brings their own.

After a year of shopping regularly at this Ralphs, I have switched to Gelsons. Within the past two months, I have purchased too many stale food items at Ralphs. The bakery items are almost all stale (french bread, kaiser rolls, pane rolls, croissants). I bought a package of $9 tempura shrimp-stale. Two of the produce guys are the only employees who dont act like theyre doing you a big favor by allowing you to shop there. The extra $10 to $20 a week to shop at Gelsons is a small price to pay. Gelsons employees are excellent and the store is beautiful. Its like they actually want business-whoa!

This is BY FAR the most pathetic Ralphs grocery store I have ever entered. Everytime I have been there, I walk out shaking my head in disgust. Its dirty, tiny and is in a constant state of disarray and need of some serious repair. The floors are uneven concrete, the isles are so narrow (2 people with shopping carts cant pass each other) and their selection is really bad. Plus, OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!

Its open 24 hours , which these days makes it the exception! I admit that the only time I visit is after hours, so the store is being stocked at that time and usually only one checker is available . That said, great variety of brands and options, huge fresh produce area and nice wide aisles . Now, if they could just do something about opening up the self- check-out section more , I would be in love ...

This Ralphs location is the smaller of the two around the Sherman Oaks area, the other being the one located at Ventura and Hazeltine. It has a single row of aisles, versus the double rows of the other location, so it is less overwhelming. It is clean and well organized. I can usually find everything I need here during a shopping trip but the smaller store size can mean a smaller selection of goods.

This Ralphs doesnt look the best from the outside, and the parking lot is a bit cramped. But still feels nice on the inside and has the same great selection that Im used to from other Ralphs supermarkets. Last I checked it also has a US Bank branch inside which I personally find very useful. It is, if I recall, a bit cramped on the inside of the market too but still a solid grocery store.

This is a decent Ralphs store, although the service people arent as welcoming as some other locations. There is a lot of square footage to cover and tons of produce ,but I can never shake the feeling of disarray and a somewhat iffy standard of cleanliness . That said , its open 24 hours and close to two major freeways (405 & 101) and when youre tired and hungry that counts!

I traveled from North Hills or from Hollywood on my way back home to go to this grocery because they have a large selection of fresh veggies (including organic), Chobani yougurt for $1, best banana nut muffins ever, and ethnic food to meet your needs. The downside of this grocery is that the parking lot is small. Yet, it is the best grocery in the area.

Now is ghetto. They been hiring low class personnel, very disrespectful to clients and management they just dont give a crap about your opinion as a consumer. You are looking for the best quality in a grocery market even on customer service but it is disgusting now you get only bad customer service and lack of interest for the clients.

Ralphs, will I longer take your debit/visa. The option to use credit is gone. This is because they are to cheap to pay the visa % so now its like shopping at Arco. Not only that they treated me like I had a stolen card cuz I would of like to not enter my secure PIN number there. Gross and hideous, rude.
