UPDATE 6/30/16: So, when I got the car, I drove it home and stayed home all night. I got home and realized the right side of the front bumper was hanging. I investigated and found that screws had been knocked out; this meant something hit the bumper hard prior to my purchase. Now mind you, the bumper looks good when pushed up, but nothing is holding it up so it falls and is very embarrassing to look at especially given there is still a paper tag in the freaking window. Fast forward, I have been up to the dealership 7 TIMES and only one time not on my dime (over $70.00 out of pocket not including the $1500.00 I had just put down). The lock tech put double sided tape on the bumper, but it is Texas, so it melted and started hanging again. Further investigation showed the car had been in some unreported wreck and the undercarriage was hanging. I took it to the shop and they fixed that issue. I called today and the manager basically told me to talk to customer service because they cant do anything about a hanging bumper. This is with clear indication that it had been hanging way longer than the time Ive had it mind you based on discoloration and the damage from the vehicle scrapping the ground over time. The customer service agent is super robotic, repeating the same stuff over and over again as if it answered my question. Then she informs me that I have to drive 38 minutes (in no traffic, an hour or more with) to a body shop for a diagnosis. This of course is about $20.00 of gas round trip, so now I have spent almost $100.00 in gas trying to fix a issue I didnt create. She then informs me, "Well if we cant cover it, you will need to call your insurance company and file a claim." UMM make my insurance higher and pay a $500.00 deductible to fix YOUR mistake? ABSOLUTELY NOT! So, when I told her I wasnt willing to do that she basically told me that I will just be stuck with a damaged car I just purchased, and I would have to get the car fixed myself and they will not reimburse me the $90.00 I spent in gas/ travel fees. WOW. Ill update this with more info as the issue is "resolved". 6/16/16 Love this place! After a day of endless searching, I came to the Drivetime Plano location and within 10 minutes I was approved for a car everyone told me I couldnt have! Yolanda was my sales rep and she was so helpful, she even drove me home when my car wasnt ready. The service team did a quick and accurate job on the small issue I had. In addition, Mark, the manager filled my car up with a tank of gas to help pay for some of my uber fees when my car wasnt ready. Michael, another sales rep, finished my paperwork with me since Yolanda was out and was very friendly. I cant say enough good about this place. I would definitely make this place my first stop if youre looking for a car! Save yourself the headache and get approved today.

I cant say too much bad about the car buying process. It was easy and at the time we had a wonderful salesperson. We have made our payments on time and love the car, but it seemed like clockwork that 20 days after our warranty was up our engine took a crap on us. We called Drivetime and they were more than willing to help us with getting the car repaired and then put the cost of the repairs on the back end of the loan, but we had to use the company they recommended for the repairs. This is where everything went awry. They had us take our car to Eagle Transmission on Jupiter (DONT DO THIS!!!!) They are the worst mechanics and shady as hell. They kept my car for 2.5 months while they changed the engine and then gave it back to me with the engine cover off and no O2 sensor, which I paid for. I advised them of this and they kept my car for another week and a half. I went to pick up my car and the engine cover was still off and the O2 sensor was still NOT on the car. So I picked up the car and left. I needed my car!!! Also, the check engine light was on. They advised me that I should drive it 60-70 miles and that light would go off. It NEVER did and they just wanted me to drop it off again. I would rather shoot myself in the foot and then run a 26 mile race before I will EVER deal with EAGLE TRANSMISSION. By the way, after calling Drivetime on numerous occassions and complaining they said that there was nothing that they could do because that was the company that they chose to do their repair work. I am currently looking to trade in my car with Drivetime and move to another company that is more accommodating.

Cori has been nothing but AMAZING. The first time I walked in she was so committed to helping me find exactly what I wanted. When I told her I was hit and my car was totaled she was kind enough to ask me HOW I WAS AND IF I WAS OKAY! Common courtesy, BUT a lot of people dont ask about your well being anymore, they just get straight to business. That was huge for me because I work in a service oriented industry and if we dont ask our customer about their well being we can really lose our clients trust. She bent over backwards to help me find something I wanted. When I couldnt didnt she gave me her card and told me to send her a list of cars I wanted and she would do everything in her power to help me find the perfect car to replace the one that someone totaled when they hit me! When she did the walk around to check the vehicle she let me sit in the car as she had me test the lights etc and she walked around outside because she understands customer service. It was freezing outside and it was highly appreciated! Shes been great. Very committed, friendly, thorough, expedient and kind. The entire team here at this location is VERY FRIENDLY and professional! They are amazing and this is why they have so many awesome reviews. Ask for Cori, you wont be disappointed.

Everyone who is thinking about buying a car from these buy here pay here subprime car lending places should really youtube the clip from Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. I wish I had known more about this place before I ever give this place my money. My car is only worth 5,000 and yet my loan is for 19,000 with a 19% interest rate which means that I am screwed. That is the same with all of the other cars on their lot. They are buying these cars for little to no money and then turning around and selling them for double and triple what they are worth. On top of that they lie when they say that the cars are properly inspected how does a properly inspected car broke down 6 days after you buy and continue to break down and the latest thing is my car is having electrical problems? I cant pay the car note because I spending all my money on rental cars because the thing keeps breaking down. I dont know who I need to contact about my situation because what drivetime is doing is perfectly legal but, that doesnt make right. I will keep speaking out and contacting lawyers to explore what my options are. In the mean time I just encourage everyone to be informed and stay away from this place and others like it.
