Let me start off by saying the doctor, (I believe his name is Dr. Jay?) was very thorough, he took his time explaining things to me in a way that I could understand, and I even learned a few things that I did not know about my vision. He did a very good job. And the negative parts of the review are in no way about him. I wish I could give this place a higher rating. I usually use Ossip, however this time I wanted a place that accepted my insurance plan AND my Care Credit card. The office staff (that I dealt with) is the absolute worst, except for Paige, (and whoever receptionist was the first time I was there). Now, there were a few issues with Paige not explaining things fully. BUT, she was very kind and she did a great job trying to help. *** Side note, dont waste your time filling out the online paperwork. Apparently it only works half the time and it takes about 30 minutes to complete & there is no guarantee they will actually get it. The rest of the office staff are rude, inconsiderate, and lazy. When I first came out of my exam to look at frames, one woman was sitting at the fitting table (furthest from the entrance door), and she was just sitting there texting or whatever on her phone. I stood there for a good minute before I interrupted her for help. She simply said "Go over there" the only employee/s that were doing anything were Paige, and the receptionist. The office manager, Michelle, has a terrible attitude. There was some miscommunication (? well call it that) over the options for my glasses at the time of ordering and when I brought this up to her as I was picking up my new glasses, she looked at me like I had three heads, and just had a nasty attitude. I finally confronted her and then all the sudden her tune changed a little bit. I will say, she tried about 15 times to adjust my frames so they were not crooked, and I did appreciate that. She must do really well at the paperwork side of things, because dealing with people is not her forte. I am so tired of going to places where the main job is customer service, and they cannot fulfill that basic requirement. So, here I am, I HATE my new glasses. The frames are ripping my hair out, one little nudge and they are pressing against my skin, getting marks on the lenses, they do not stay in place, Im pretty sure the prescription in one of the lenses is off, and they do not have the type of transition lenses I would have picked... had I known there was an option. Well see how this goes, and hopefully the response and result is better than the original. Hopefully I will be able to update my rating in a more positive way. *** Update. A corporate representative has reached out to me, and we had a fairly long discussion regarding my experience and some other observations I had made while in the office. I did consider after I posted the review, that the issue with my prescription could simply be me adjusting to it. She agreed as well, so Im going to keep these for a few days to see if I adjust to it or not, and then she is going to work with me directly to make things right. I really appreciated the fast and unexpected response from corporate. So far, my opinion on Dr. Tavels (which I had never used before) is moving in a higher direction. I will update this again next week!

just had unhappy experience with this clinic. I suggest you consider carefully before heading there. There is one staff sitting right towards the door with light color hair, she is really rude, others are fine. And the doctor, He is careless and impolite, during the contact fitting process, he interrupted me and showed impatience while i was trying to explain my feeling and eye care history, He said directly at my face that he dislikes me because I questioned a lot, which made me fear to communicate with him about my eyes feeling. He said he has been in his area for 30 years, which is not a reason that his suggestion of contact fitting will be just right for my eyes, he should know that everyone is different, it is the responsibility of doctor to check each patients conditions and feeling. At last, he just finalized my case without any notification while Im still wearing the trial contact, and refused to see me and asked the staff in front desk to make me either accept his prescription or pay him more to recheck, which is ridiculous.

I love the Doctor they are great with my kids. But everytime I come in here its one receptions shes horrible and a rude person. It makes me not wanna come into the place. And find a different eye doctor. Ive been coming to this eye doctor for 5 years and I love coming here. You guys need better attitudes or I will change me and my kids doctor. Not very happy patient

Dr. Bob was great! He was patient with my 5 yr old who was seeing him for the first time, and with my 3yr old who was not being seen, but kept telling her sister the letters that were on the wall. I also appreciated the help from the front desk, though their computers were not wanting to cooperate with them (technology right?).

This is my second experience (in about 2 years) with this location. I enjoy coming here and havent had any issues with customer service. Every person is equally eager to help; not just patients, but each other, as well. Dr. J is very professional, and answers questions with ease and tact.
