This Cedar Park Costco is bigger sq-footage wise than the north Austin Costco but it doesnt feel bigger. The entrance/exit is narrow & cramped but the store widens towards the back. There seems to be more space for the offices and bathrooms, which are by the back side. The aisles are narrower than the north Austin Costco. Ive gone there on both weekend and weekdays and the aisles/exit/entrance still feel crowded and cramped. The cashier counters abutting near the deli tables make for a crowded exit with our carts. I dont know if they have less deli tables here than the north Austin location but it seemed hard to find a free table. The placement of some things in this Cedar Park Costco is inconvenient. The fresh baked goods/breads are separated from the ready-made ones, unlike the north Austin Costco. And it doesnt make sense. Theres plenty of room for the ready-made breads & other baked goods next/close to the fresh ones. Instead, they put the wines there and the ready-made baked goods next to the non-alcoholic drinks. To make mine & other customers Costco shopping experience better, I recommend switching the wine location for the ready-made baked goods location. There are 2 walk-in refrigerated rooms: 1 for the fresh produce and the other for dairy products. I thought the placement of the dairy room was a little off. Instead of it being by the other frozen foods, you have to go to the back by the paper-towel and diaper section to get to it. Again, weird placement. There seem to be more products and the height of available stock seemed higher than both Austin Costcos. Yet there are some products that I buy that are missing such as the Seattle-best Coffee. I just happen to notice when I went to the Cedar Park Costco today (Dec 1, 2013) that it now has a fresh coffee-grinder. Im glad Costco listened to my & other customers suggestions re: putting 1 in for this Costco location. But its placed between the customer service & deli. Theres no sign by the coffee area that the coffee-grinder is available & where its location is. I didnt like that we cant pay for our deli orders at the grocery cashiers like we can in other Costco locations, except for a whole-pizza order. I was told by 1 of the managers at Cedar Park Costco that they have no plans on changing this . Why not? Its an easy system of scanning the barcodes for the deli food on a separate sheet of paper. I dont always carry cash with me. And Id rather pay for all my purchases with my debit card/AMEX at 1 time. Theyre shooting themselves in the foot and losing deli customers by removing the choice of being able to pay for our deli orders at the grocery cash registers. I am appreciative that theres a Costco in Cedar Park. I just wish theyd implement the same deli policies and sell the same products as the north Austin Costco location.

I really enjoy shopping at Costco and love what they stand for as a retailer. However the last 4 or 5 times we have shopped at the Cedar Park location there is such a "panic" at the checkout, throwing the items around swiftly. If you place something on the belt that should not be on the belt but rather left in the cart you will quickly understand because some of the team members will grab it and quickly place it back in the cart. I understand the need to get people through the lines etc, but the little nuance of how you interact with and treat people can make a big difference. Today the young man did not even offer a box he just started slinging individual items in the cart and when I tried to get a box it was like he just did not even acknowledge it so I was aggressive getting a box and then he looked at me like I was a nut. Seemed like a millennial moment to me! Yes its a warehouse retailer but the little bit of human interaction does not have to feel like a "cattle call". Good company there just needs to be a little more training and development with some team members.

My wife and I just got our membership today and I was really looking forward to seeing Coscto for the first time after all these wonderful reviews. Very disappointed. I am sure they have some decent deals but everything we normally would buy costs more than it would at Sams. My wife can not go into the produce or dairy sections because they are in a cooler, which just seems inefficient and for someone like my wife that has a severe reaction to cold, impossible to shop. Besides the produce did not look all that fresh or priced well. The snack bar offers fewer options for vegetarians. I am sure it is fine for others, but I do not expect to renew the membership as the place just seemed like a disorganized cluster.

Its Costco - so what else is there to say? I wish Costco would have a better parking system. Its almost as if they intentionally want people to experience parking woes because it drives demand to shop here and opens up the challenge on "where will I park today or how far away." I prefer Costco over Sams. I am very excited this one opened up less than 2 miles from my house. I will either be broke from now on or will have to avoid the desires to wander around the store weekly. I cannot seem to get out the door without spending $150 each visit. Damn those food sampler people! If I keep this up I will need to buy a deep freezer.

Costco is my adult Disneyland. I literally get excited about coming here. The fact that I only have to buy goods like toilet paper once per year on average makes life so much easier. In addition, youre only gonna find good deals on solid products here and if you happen to have an issue with something youve bought here their amazing return policy means that you will never feel ripped off. The worst thing I can say about Costco is that its crowded on the weekends but I think I can deal with that.
