A little over a week ago, my car broke down on the highway and I was able to roll right into the back of Yorway Auto. My daughter and I were so grateful to see a mechanic working on his day off right there! We tried to drive it a little further but the transmission seemed to be ruined. After a while, realizing we would not be taking the car home, we took out whatever was the most important and called for a ride back to where we live 2.5 hrs away. I did not expect to see the car again. I was afraid it would have to be sold for scrap or Yorway would be kind enough to fix it and sell it for the cost of repairs. Ira not only tried out the car, offered us his Gatoraid and allowed us in the building, he allowed us to lock the car into the yard and assured us the 3 cameras would help keep an eye on things. It was a very distressing situation for us. It was very kind of him and the owner to assist us this way, they didnt know us at all. The next day, Ira called to see if I had checked next door with All Star Transmission. All Star took over from there and sweetly fixed, not only the electrical problem, but the window as well, out of the kindness of their hearts. I cannot thank them enough, but I can recommend these special people for helping us when we couldnt help ourselves. Thank you! The car is running great and we are doing well, in fact, today I was offered the job I have been working towards for 6 months, so things are looking up!
