I have purchased thousands of dollars of furniture from Havertys over the years. Fortunately, I never had to deal with customer service before. We purchased a sectional with power recliners on both ends a little over a year ago. We have had nothing but problems with one of the recliners. The switch broke and Havertys came out and repaired it. It broke again, and after a month, they came out and replaced it. In December, it broke again and after numerous phone calls, they agreed to replace the piece. One month after agreeing to replace the piece, they came out and repaired the switch. It worked for one day and then broke again. After contacting customer service again, we are now being told that it is out of warranty. They may yet do something, we are not going to let this drop, however, this has been the worst customer service experience that I have ever had regarding anything. We have had the furniture for 12 months and for 4 of those, it hasnt worked. And this is how they treat someone who has been a long time customer. My advice...if it has moving parts, go someplace else.

Very Positive Experience! The salesman was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and not pushy, we looked for a sectional sofa and actually started at Havertys, and after looking at 6 other furniture stores in the Tampa area,we returned and made the purchase. The furniture we bought is of good quality for a fair price, we own it now since 1 month and we are very happy with it. The customer service is A+ ! When we bought the sofa we ordered it with only one electric recliner and found out later we should have ordered both of them in electric. Havertys exchanged our none electric recliner for the electric recliner at no restocking or any extra charge accept the actual $100 that the electric recliner cost more, and delivered it for free as well! i call this outstanding customer service and based on price and quality as well, would highly recommend this store! I just came from a design appointment with Havertys in Wesley Chapel, My salesman was Dennis and my designer was Rodney. They made me feel like royalty the minute I walked in the store a few weeks ago. Dennis was extremely thorough in his explanations of the different types and features of the furniture and when it came time to sit down with Rodney, he had a whole color wheel which helped with not only furniture colors but helped me decided on what colors to paint the walls based on furniture, rugs and accessories. I brought a picture of a wall hanging and Rodney worked hard to get everything to match just perfectly. I am so excited to showcase my new home! Havertys is top notch and their associates are a class act! Not to mention the furniture is very high quality. I know I made the right choice! Thanks for your help, patience and insight Rodney and Dennis.

I would absolutely NOT recommend going to Havertys to shop for anything. We ordered 4 bar stools from there and after being told it would take 5 weeks before we would get it, something we were fine with, we were informed that they were going to be another week late. Fine. Then they show up but the delivery guy tells us that only 3 were ordered and the 4th would be delivered the next day. I go to the store to arrange a different delivery day, only to find out that only 3 chairs were made and there was no 4th chair! I can deal with people who make mistakes and admit to it. I have no tolerance for people who make up stuff. They gave us some coupon to apologize and I told them I would never be cashing that out. Thank goodness I spent the heavy money at Hudsons in Brandon. HIGH recommendation for that store and all my other purchases will be from there.

The WORST customer service we have ever experienced. We had two chairs custom made and the third time one of them was sat it, a spring broke and shot through the bottom of the chair (we are healthy, fit people - not over weight). It took four tries with the customer service line to get someone out to our house to look at it. He could not fix it. SURPRISE! He told us he would have to have the chair sent back to where they are made. Customer service was supposed to call to set a time for pickup and after a week, no calls. SURPRISE again! My suggestion is go to ANY OTHER furniture retailer, even Rooms To Go. Havertys should dismantle their customer service department and just have a recording that says "Sorry, we cashed your check. You are out of luck." I would be less upset if that were to happen.

I bought a King Bedroom set. The furniture ended up having a defect and I had to do a service call. Havertys ended up replacing the furniture instead of fixing it. Defects happen with every company, but the difference is the service you receive. I highly recommend using Havertys and asking for Rich Vinai. Overall, a five star experience, especially the after sale service.
