Ive been here a few times now with my kids getting things for our aquarium. Were novices with everything regarding fish ownership, and I certainly have questions. This is why I will never go back to this store. First of all, they are always hiring part time help on the sign outside. This is no surprise, seeing as it appears nobody who works there actually enjoys working there. The employees are completely unhelpful and as others stated before, at times rude. It was late morning when I stopped in and I was the only customer in the store. I stood over in the fish supply area looking for things, and nobody came over to ask if I was being helped. The were busy cleaning fish tanks or doing some paperwork at the front register. I eventually found what I was looking for on my own, went up to pay and nobody was at the register now. I found an employee, asked for help, felt like an inconvenience, paid, and left. This isnt the first time this has happened here. The employees never seem to want to help. They want to get their tasks done around the store. It would be a great store if they were actually customer centric. They have a good selection, and some really neat fish and animals. I wont be going there anymore though.

I spent 260+ on a ferret cage for my ferrets, they had a display one that I could take home and one in a box, since I have a car I went with the box. It wasnt clearly labeled pretty much every side was brown with no cage description. I asked if it was the right cage and two people responded yes, since I dont have a van I couldnt do the display cage. When I got home it was the chincilla cage, but they still charged me the ferret cage amount. I was upset and when I called back they said I could have the display. I have a car so it took me a few days to find a vehicle I could take it home in. I guess all I wanted was an apology since I had talked with them over the phone and am a regular meaning I frequent the store once a week. Other than that they need to work out their rewards program. One postcard size reward card every three months and if you lose it you cant use it. They can view how much money you have in rewards, but if you dont have card its your loss they wont resend out a post card or print out anything in store so you can use it and the reward amount expired after a certain amount of time (6 months or a year).

I was in there for some aquatic plants and an otocinclus fish. The plants were pretty sickly looking, so I ended up only getting a couple that were the best looking of the bunch. I went over to petsmart afterward and picked up similar plants to finish out my planting. The petsmart plants have done soooo much better then the atlas plants....although none have died. The Otocinclus fish has done really well and no issues there. I did ask a person to see if they could order something in for me...he said hes call me back with an answer....no call back ever happened, but he was a college aged kid who probably didnt care anyways. I found a shop over in Champlin thats awesome and will give them my business going forward.

I will never return to purchase a small animal. I was in the store after calling around looking to purchase a teddy bear hamster we went in store I had brought my 2 sisters in 9 and 12 years old they wanted a female the staff was rude and could not even sex the hamsters they had. Nor could they pick them up so we could hold the 2 we liked. We ended up getting a hamster from the atlas pet in Elk River we got a female teddy bear hamster.

Weve had several interactions with the staff over the last couple of years and theyve always been exceptional! They are knowledgeable and friendly. We appreciate the they take the time to share their knowledge with their customers! We shopped Petco and PetSmart for fish supplies and can safely say that Atlas had them beat! We will definitely be giving them our business in the future as well!

I have been here a few times and the place has always been clean and organized. I also have received the same service here as I have at any other pet store. The staff are friendly but dont generally wander the store asking you every minute if you need help which is what I prefer anyways. If I need help I know where to go to get someone.

Horrible owner. That lady is just plain mean to her employees. I could hear her telling off some poor young kid because they DIDNT MAKE A SALE!!! How can you treat your customers with respect if your just trying to SELL SELL SELL? In her own words. I was a frequent customer but not after this!!

This is my favorite place. The staff is helpful with do food and toy choices, they even have deeply discounted premium food within a few months of exp. that I love saving money on. The manager knows saltwater (few do) and I can get everything there except RO/DI.

Staff have always been helpful and they have the higher quality food that I like to feed my dogs and cats. Prices are comparable or better to what Ive found, plus add in their rewards program, and youre getting even more for your buck.

I recently purchased two Female Dumbo Rats from here. Ive had them each for about 2 months. I love them! They have healthy, clean, and friendly animals. Great service. Very helpful. Love this place! Plan on going here more often.

I love this pet store. The staff is very friendly and they are very nice to my dog when I bring her in to use the convienent do it yourself pet wash. I love this idea and it beats paying some one else to give my dog a bath.

I called atlas pets in Blaine to ask them a question and they were very rude to me and when we hung up she didnt even say goodbye. I wouldnt recommend shopping at atlas pet.

Not a very wide range of fish. Im an experienced fish owner, Ive had my tank for at least 3 years, and every time I go to buy fish they treat me as if Im incompetent.
