I went to this store near the holiday season to upgrade my phone and was quickly approached by one of the staff members. To be fair, he wasnt overbearing and let my boyfriend and I browse the different phones. We asked him a few questions and he steered us in the direction of switching to a monthly payment plan so that I could upgrade my device and not pay an up front charge or increase my monthly bill -which I guess is the trend nowadys... He presented us with a few numbers and figures on a notepad and my boyfriend and I ran through my options. Unfortunately, the numbers he scratched on paper turned out to be entirely deceptive. I am a minimalist and quite frugal so flashy new devices dont really tickle my fancy, but... The sales rep somehow convinced both my boyfriend and me that purchasing an Ipad Mini along with my phone would lead to a decrease in my overall monthly bill -essentially explaining that Verizons "changed planned" had allowed for this, and that, I would just need pay a discounted price up front for the ipad and a small monthly charge (which, if added into the bill, would still be less than what I was currently paying). In going through with the information that HE provided and WE trusted (and also appeared sound by the prices and numbers displayed in the store) I went with this suggestion. I even recall him saying, after my boyfriend tried to run through the bill and numbers again, "trust me, Ive worked it out and there isnt a better deal." All of it seemed great, and when I paid my first bill I felt pretty good about the transaction. However, today I received a text from Verizon indicating that my new monthly bill was available and it was roughly $80.00 more than my previous one. Not only had they slapped an "activation fee" onto the iPad, which was never mentioned to my boyfriend or me, the sales rep also failed to mention that my phone line would go up more than he originally wrote out AND because Verizon no longer has the option of a 6GB plan, so my family and I are constantly stuck paying for data that we will probably never use....and will, apparently just keep rolling over UNUSED. Oh yeah, and I have an iPad Mini that is going to get very little use, because, I really didnt care for it in the first place.... This guy I dealt with was exactly like a sleazy used car salesmen. I really dont understand how anyone could feel satisfied by deceiving customers in this way. It looks really BAD for Verizon as a whole and definitely terrible for the Airport Rd. store which I do not plan on returning to...

Terrible service. Went in there yesterday. Not a single person asked me if they could help me while everyone was standing around chatting with only 2 customers in the store. An Asian guy opened the door for me, gave me a dirty look and never asked me if I needed help and the last time I was in there he was extremely rude to me so I left the store not to disturb anyone from their standing around chatting and contacted Verizon directly. Dont even bother going in this store to get any kind of help unless you need to buy a device because the level of arrogance by the staff mostly 35 years and younger, is not something they hide and they make it very clear that they are the "big deal Verizon sales people" and you are the little annoying customer. My issue I went in there for: I was offered the new HUM device the last time I went there to activate my new phone and return another one and told about the HUM special and that it included free activation (I got charged $20) and told the device was $30 which was marked down half off "for only for a limited time" (its $30 regularly on the HUM website). 2 lies and the manager was standing right there while I was being sold a line and a dance. Thankfully I called Verizon directly and they were able to wave the so called free activation fee I was promised and my only reason for buying the device that day. I will NEVER shop for another device at this store AGAIN. Go to the Palmer Mall (the staff is wonderful) or the Lehigh Valley mall or online.

I never write reviews but this deserved one. I bought a wireless charger in January which stopped working and prior to leaving for the store they told me it was under a 1 year warantee and not to worry I can exchange it for a new one no extra charges. I arrived at the store 25 minutes before closing and they greeted me nicely. As soon as I explained I was there to exchange for a new charger they wanted nothing to do with it and gave me the run around. "Absolutely not. Youll have to deal with Samsung. You can only make exchanges within 30 days at the store." I flipped out as it was pouring outside and would have never come to the store had I not been told I could return it. I left and called corporate. They told me again "You can 100% get a new one for 12 months after buying it." They called Whitehall location and they set one aside for me. When I arrived at Whitehall they too tried to hassle me for a $10 upcharge when the item actually DECREASED in price! I paid $79 in January and now it was $59!! WORST experience ever. I ended up getting an even exchange after yelling and arguing with them. Its Verizon on the whole. I dont think Ive ever had any pleasant transactions with any store. They are all ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. DISGUSTING/NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Do not ever use them! Ive been told to purchase all items online at different vendors such as Amazon.

Absolutely horrible store. They preyed on my mother and told her a HUM device was required in order to purchase a phone. Her current one broke and was out of the upgrade time by 2 months. They lied and told her she needed to purchase and sign up for the HUM device and service in order for her to get a new phone. When I called to talk to a manager, because I am out of state, she told me she would take down my number, investigate and get back to me. Which did not happen. On the phone she stated that there was never a promotion or anything going on that required a HUM device to be purchased like that. Thankfully the Verizon Corporate customer service person I spoke to about it did some research and helped to make it right. Too bad I cannot give less than 1 star. Avoid this store at all costs! Crooks!

We had to return a phone within the 14 day period as it was not functioning properly. We called the corporate line ahead of time to make sure it was noted on our account to waive the stocking fee, and went to this location to return the phone. The staff refused to look into our account for the note, said there was no way around paying the stocking fee and said if we wanted to return the phone we needed to pay the stocking fee upfront. We paid it to avoid returning the phone outside of the 14 day period and then called corporate back up. They had to credit our account for the stocking fee. Any other Verizon store Ive been to would have investigated the matter and tried to call corporate. Very displeased with the service and lack of customer care. Will not be returning to this location.
