My vet recommended L-lysine for my kittys recurring eye redness (she said chances are she has feline herpes). I was kind of on the fence about it because I had heard/read mixed reviews but I thought I would give it a shot. As I was going to check out the manager asked me if I found everything okay and how the L-lysine was working. I said that I hadnt tried it yet. She talked to me really openly and honestly about it and said it hadnt worked for her cat, but she found a different product that worked wonders called Bixbi Immunity. She said she was really sorry, but they didnt carry it anymore, and gave me all the info to buy it online. She literally sacrificed a sale because she genuinely cared about my pets health and wanted me to use the product that worked, even if that wasnt a product they sold. That, my friends, is customer service. I will definitely be back. Plus, they always have cute cats that need to be adopted in the store :)

FYI: I am on my third bag of PureVita dry cat food. After I opened my 3rd bag I realized the first 2 were purchased with the seals broken. For some reason I still had the first two bags and I found the remnants of the seals. Since one of my cats tends to want to "bury" this food (she likes Purina kitten food better) I have tasted it in the past & the food has always had a bit of an edge to it. When I tasted out of the bag that was sealed, it had no edge (but with time it is developing one). I dont believe it is the policy of Chuck & Dons to pass off food that isnt sealed so I felt I needed to give a headup.

I got a new cat recently. The lady helping me here was super patient and knowledgeable. She spent several minutes answering my questions about food, litter, toys, catnip, collars, carriers, et cetera. It was quite evident that she had done her research. The difference between going here rather than Pet Smart is like the difference between going to a special running store like Running Room rather than Dicks or DSW for running shoes.

Im a chuck and dons member and I wouldnt be if it werent for the great staff at this location. Everyone is knowledgable and friendly and they talk to you like humans not dollar signs. I take my cat in occasionally (on a leash) and all the staff loves to see him and play with him, not to mention my cat loves the attention!

VERY helpful and knowledgeable staff. Very clean store too. Even though these people could easily brush you off, they take the time to answer even the small questions and make sure your needs are met. Go here to buy your pet food. 10th or 12th bag free depending on brand when you join their club.

These guys are amazing. I recently moved to the area and needed to find a pet supply store that sold a rather uncommon cat food. They special ordered it for me and have been amazing. They have a great membership/coupon program too. Theyre helpful and definitely know what theyre talking about.

They are always friendly. All the employee care about animals and give you advice based off of the animals needs. They do not sell you something because its the most expensive. They know that every animals has different needs. I really appreciate the athmosphere.
