To describe Valli to the suburban who shops at other ethnic/ethnic-style groceries, Ill just say that its Caputos with three times the floor space. Valli has the most excellent produce selection Ive seen in the suburbs. Fresh, neatly arranged, and well cared for displays make a one stop shopping experience possible for folks looking for traditional and exotic fruits, vegetables, and spices. They have a nice bulk candy/nut selection, and an excellent deli. Ive served some of their pre-prepared sausage and pepper dishes to rave reviews and find myself saving at least 40% buying the same, and often better, brand lunchmeat at the deli counter. The bakery is decent, and competes with Caputos on selection. Breads are hit or miss; the Cuisine de France once-frozen breads had been sitting out a bit too long on my last visit, but the store-made hamburger buns were great. While youre not entirely likely to always find smash deals on common American items, many of the well-stocked imported goods are priced competitively. For more comprehensive details on what to expect at a Vallis, I suggest reading the reviews on the other locations in Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights -- I suspect the experience is universal, and its one Ill happily be repeating despite having to drive an extra few minutes out of the way.

I rarely ever rate anything 5 stars, but between great prices, excellent produce, and great staff this is by far the best grocery store Ive come across. I love them for their great weekly deals on meat & produce, deli, all the international food, and great customer service. My car broke down in their parking lot. The manager got my car started and drove it across the street to Tuffy for me, kept my groceries in their fridge, brought my groceries back to me when my car was fixed (just needed a new car battery), and refused to accept a tip. They certainly secured my business that day. All in all, a great place to get your groceries.

Holy cow. Reading the reviews makes me think that either I am at the wrong place or the staff is actually nice. Im a polite person and rarely get mad, but the cashiers are always upset when they serve me. Just right now the cashier didnt acknowledge me while I was paying. I said "Hello." Dead silence. Then a more louder "Hello!?" not even a glance. Theyre not forced to work there. If they dont want to be there and do a good job, then leave. The rest of the crew are nice and polite. But the only issue are the female cashiers. Awful!

In three successive visits over the past month, Ive opened cellophane-wrapped watermelon and canteloupe the same or next day, only to find it spoiled/overripe. Inspect grapes closely, as many are off the vine (loose) and borderline. Look closely at the broccoli, as mine was yellow inside. The bad items I took home were NOT discounted produce but the regular-price "fresh" goods. I travel from another village so I did not take items back, thinking each was a fluke. Not so; three times is a pattern. Beware!

The go to place for our grocery, but I just wish they would get fresher vegetables and fruit at least more often than a week. Prices for fresh food is great, they even have phone app with lots of coupon and savings. Great deals on certain products from time to time. One thing to avoid are non food products as they are very expensive and Walmart or even Aldi will have cheaper

Good prices and a good selection make this a good place to shop. You will never find better deals on olive oil. It is one of the most convenient places to satisfy my cravings for Turkish Delight, or smoked fish. I also shop here when preparing a door county style fish boil since it is one of the few local markets that sells whole whitefish.

I go here by default because it is a stones throw from my house. They have fantastic prices on their produce, but I often find that their food is not very fresh. Ive never bought a pack of strawberries that lasted more than 2-3 days before molding. I love the expansion to include more options though. They make fantastic ceviche though!

Just visited this store for the first time. It is much larger than I expected. The first thing I noticed was how clean it is. Ive honestly never seen a cleaner grocery store, including the big chains. They have huge produce and meat departments as well as ample grocery and frozen food aisles. This is definitely a full-serve grocery.

Valli Produce in Glendale Heights is part of the fabulous family of Vallis. and there is so much available in the store. Like its namesake, Produce is their hallmark, with hard to find items not available elsewhere. From Luau leaves to tindora, the pallete of international dishes in your recipe box is sure to please your family.

Was just there today about 3:48pm and i had the worst cashier service. The cashier was named ALBERT. Went through his line and gives me this look as if hes judging me. Couldnt even say hello or a thank you. Just gives the attitude as if Im wasting his time. ALBERT NEEDS TO LEARN HOW CUSTOMER SERVICE WORKS!

I Love Vali but they need to keep a closer Look when it comes to their ( MEAT ) produce, either they leave meat out to long or freezer not cold enough , SOMETIMES THEIR MEAT LOOKS OLD LIKE THE PORTERHOUSE STEAKS, MEAT IS DARK IN CERTAIN ARES ....THEY NEED BETTER SALES KINDA EXPENSIVE

i always find something in produce to be satisfied with here more frequently than tonys & caputos if im on this side town where i live/work, its here - or if on the other side, fresh farms all anyone has to do is continue to bring the good deals & rigorously study their competition

Great prices and selection on fresh produce, deli, canned/dried good, meats, prepared foods, ethnic foods baked goods and beer/wine. Their thin crust pizza is fantastic, 1.99 for a huge triangle slice. Would of never found this place if my work had not relocated to Carol Stream.

Nice produce section. Huge variety but you have to search for quality. Very competitive prices. Huge seafood section mostly imported and frozen. Large ethnic sections and selection. I dont have knowledge of the meat section. Nice deli and bakery. Fast checkout.

Manages there space pretty well Produce is to the left and anything cool is pretty much a horse shoe in the center is like a game if your getting colder or warmer you will eventually find it Over all its enjoyable once you learn the layout pretty quick

One of the more reasonably-priced grocery stores around. Most stuff is excellent, but double-check expiration dates because not everything gets cycled out appropriately. Worth it for their produce and great international sections.

When it said A single $ 25.00 purchase satisfies ? means to satisfies their Greed. This is the only store that requires a minimum purchase, compare to Petes, Caputos and others where no minimum purchase is required.

This is my preferred green grocery. Vallis has good weekly specials and good prices. I find little need to go to a specialty store because you can buy Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Polish, and Thai foods there.

Thank God for this place. For any reasonable thing that a plant or animal produces that humans desire (aside from some seafood), youll find it here in good condition and for a great price.
