I dislike shopping here. They offer a precious few things that Wal-Mart does not (their bakery section is quite good - and doesnt close at 8pm.) The meat dept can have good deals if you find a managers special (meaning it must be eaten or frozen immediately because its almost out of date.) You can also get good prices on Sketchers shoes if they are clearanced. Besides that, there is very little to draw me. Their clothing is ridiculously overpriced. It also appears to be for two age groups - under twenty and over fifty. At 33, I wear neither cropped tops and day glo Spandex nor flowered mumus and elastic waisted pants. Meaning Meijer has nothing to offer me in clothes. As for the prices on their food...! If I wanted to pay $6 for a box of cereal, I would move back to rural MN. The prices are "barely competitive" on some few things - and totally out of line on the rest.

This is a great Meijer for shopping for your regular staples. The produce section is very well-stocked with lots of fresh items. Because of its location right near I-355 and Bolingbrooks Promenade Mall and IKEA, this store gets a lot of traffic at peak hours (basically when people are en route home from work), so it can be a very busy location between 4 and 7 pm weekdays and weekend afternoons. Make sure you sign up for Meijers loyalty card program ("mPerks") if you shop there a lot -- you get a lot of nice discounts throughout the store as well as electronic cash coupons for meeting certain purchase amounts in selected categories (usually a four week period).

This store is notorious for raising the price at the checkout from the price on the shelf. Its always higher, never lower. I have never found this at other stores. 3 out of 5 visits prices have changed at checkout. They will only refund for the correct price if they get caught, Im sure all the shoplifters that are listed for that store weekly dont get that deal. I have contacted management in Michigan, the headquarters, which had a local manager call me which not much of a resolution. Message to Mayor Claar, response "Ill check into it. Price switching continues. Note: Mayor Claar allowed 2 of these stores in town but only 1 Walmart which never switched prices.

This place continuously disappoints me. They have a very poor selection. For a "superstore", they need better variety and selection.I routinely have to stop at another store to get everything on my shopping list. It just happened to me again today, and thats why am leaving this review. Also, their produce is horrible. Often times i bring stuff home and find it rotten. If its actually good when I get home, it usually rots within a day or two. My experience is really unfortunate, because it is so close to my house. I now have to go out of my way to go to a different store.

While they have a good organic selection of fruits and vegetables, as well as decent dairy section, you must be very vigilant about checking the quality and expiration dates on all packaging. Organic yogurt must move very slow, because I routinely find packs with a past due "best by" dates. Informed the management a couple of times, not sure if that made any difference. Organic fruit and veg also tend to be on the old side, berries especially! Check each pack carefully for mold. Otherwise, the prices are good.

I shop here, but more often than not get caught at the register trying to argue prices with the cashier. WATCH how they charge you, they will ring up prices different than what was advertised. Ive had to take pictures of price tags in the past and hold up lines to avoid being cheated. Also - do NOT get your eyebrows done at the salon in the store. I left looking very surprised after they thinly threaded one brow and unapologetically told me it looked that way to begin with.

Always merchandise needing to be put away EVERYWHERE. First time to an actually cashier and she charged me for 1 item twice that was on sale and I went to customer service to only get everything but 20% back and she said it was normal! There isnt anything normal about getting charged double for 1 object and end up paying 120% of the product after customer service "fixes" it! Watch everything they do if you go here. They are truly ripping people off!

The food to go, next to the deli, looked really good. So I went over there to order something on my work lunch. I ended up standing there for about 8-10 minutes and nobody came to take my order. So I walked away very disappointed. However, I bought a smoothie and some very delicious sole fritters from the bakery. And I love self checkout.

Seems to be much higher quality than what I get at Walmart or KMart. Price is about the same. Higher on some things and lower on others. Store was definitely much cleaner than what youd typically find in a Walmart. I didnt feel like I was going to get a disease by going to the bathroom at Meijer like I would at a Walmart.

Meijer really isnt a bad place to visit. It has everything you need under one building. When I visit this store it is normally clean. I dont think it has been actually a dirty. The produce section I dont shop much at. Its normally a hit or miss. Othman than that. Its a pretty descent store.

I love this meijers! The employees are friendly and willing to go out their way to help you. Meijers ongoing promotion keeps me coming back as well as their clean fresh produce. Even there gas prices are usually the lowest in the area besides costco. Only improvements are need more samples.

One stop shopping without having to go to Walmart. The bakery isnt what it was back when this was a much smaller chain in MI but the produce is high quality. The selection of organic produce and goods isnt the best if thats what youre into but its improving all the time.

Great store! Friendly staff, clean, great prices. The only downside that Ive found for this store is they are often out of at least one thing on my list (out of stock). Still, it is my go-to store for great sales, convenience, and helpful workers.

Normally I wouldnt write a review about a grocery store, but I was in the store for probably an hour and a half, passed by 4-5 employees each and one of them asked me how I was and if I needed help finding anything. Thats pretty rare in my opinion.

I give em one star for being open. Have bought meat within use by date that was bad, produce is often bad, and bottled water section is way too small. Its my closest grocery store and I wont even go there anymore for a quick item.

Had grocery items that I needed to purchase. Stopped into Meijer to pick these items up. All items were found and had fair prices. Staff was helpful for me in locating a couple of items that I couldnt locate on my own.

I love meijer bot the lines at the cashiers are anoing!! Hire more people and less self scans!!!! You are not giving us discounts for doing your job, why should we use it. Fix that or ill be shopping somewhere else.

Weve been waiting 10 minutes for someone in the meat department to come out and assist. Ive called this guy twice already and he sol had not come out as he promised. Not very impressed. Walmart has better service
