Jewel has been the only full grocery store in town, ever since Dominicks closed there stores several years ago. Since then the quality of their products (especially the produce and fresh foods) and level of customer service have dramatically decreased. We used to do all of our grocery shopping at this store mostly due to the convenience of it being so close to our home. Over the years we dealt with a few occurrences of the managers being extremely rude to us, and witnessed them treating other customers the same. We finally took 95% of our business elsewhere when we began to notice on a frequent basis how poorly a couple of the front end managers were treating the employees. They would yell and talk down to them in front of customers, while those employees were working their tail ends off, during peak times. Rather than help or open another register to provide faster service to the customers standing in long lines, they would stand around and publicly humiliate and bully certain employees. It was truly some of their best, hardest working, friendliest employees they had. We would always be sure to tell those employees to stop putting up with that treatment and always praise them for there hard work. After seeing this happen numerous times, we decided we would no longer give our business to a company like that.

Ive been a Jewel shopper since 2004 and Ive been waiting for another store to take over the old Dominicks location. The Jewel shopping area is very clean and most of the employees are curteous and friendly. The prices are okay but nothing to call a relative or friend about. I have 3 major issues with this store: 1) Ive complained for more than a year about the avacados and the same bad quality of avacados are still displayed. 2) EVERY deli and meat department emplyee overweighs the requested items and asks "its a little over, is this okay?" I believe that this is an instructed practice. 3) The mens washroom is always dirty and smells like a Chicago South Side gas staion washroom (very bad). There are a select number of employees I appreciate like Rose. But overall, this store is grossly mismanaged and Ive decided to drive twice the distance, and use more of my time to shop for groceries but I think it will be worth it when I find it. No more Jewel for me.

This place invested is computer check-out kiosks three years ago and fixed their "line problems." Now, they have removed them and gone back to their philosophy of "1 register for every 50 people in the store." Honestly, it is rediculious to see two registers open with eight people in each line while the shift manager and two employees stand customer service cracking jokes. This place has become a joke and apparently wishes to follow the trend, go bankrupt and be replaced with a better option. P.S. Walmart half a mile down the road has better customer service... WALMART!!

First and last time here ever and I never write a negative review. First of all everyone in there was so crabby except one gentleman that well could be there. The worst part was the bagger and I can give his name on here but I wont do that he was just talking about how easy of a job it is well hes throwing my eggs in the bottom of the cart and putting my 12 pack of water on top of it. Then when I asked him about it he just rolls his eyes and makes a sound sound

The store is clean but the remodel took away self check out making it a minimum 10 min in line and then another 5 min while u wait for someone 21 to come and scan ur beer. None of the cashiers are 21 what a pain in the ass. At night good luck is all I got to say, there is one lane open and the line stretches into the aisle and they never open another lane and the cashier is never 21. Place is a joke.

Im tired of going there & having to get on my knees to reach the items stuck in the back of the shelves OR pass up a purchase because I cant reach the item I want on back of top shelf. Im tired of my soft foods being crushes with heavy ones because the checkers dont care what they do. Baggers just arent aware that soft items go on top in basket not at the bottom! Im going somewhere else!

Im not a fan of picking up groceries from my list but this is still a main priority store to go to when you really need some food so I recommend to go to Jewel Osco although Im not a big fan theres nothing wrong with it I give it 4 stars just because thats my opinion but you guys could probably change that in your opinion

They recently re-organized the store in a way that makes no sense and makes it difficult top shop. They recently removed the self checkout isles and do not have enough cashiers working at all times, prepare for a long wait. Wal-Mart and Target have better prices and are just South on Weber a quarter mile.

I dont know why I bother. Lousy selection. High prices - because theres little competion nearby - and non-existent customer service.I drive out of my way to go to a real store. But sometimes I think, "Oh, I only need three things. How bad can it be?" Its bad. Every time.

The employees are very rude when you go there with wic were supposed to be treated with respect and like any other customer but not at this jewel.the cashier walked away saying I cant deal with this very disrespectful.

They are okay I guess. Not very customer service oriented. I liked it when they had self checkout but now they dont. Now you have wait in line for longer time because they are slowwwwwww!

Employees are friendly and helpful. Prices are not too bad. Plus the fact that you are in out quickly. Especially if you use the self checkout lanes.

Discount section always has the best deals, I hit the clearance rack first thing every visit to this jewel. Great customer service and clean store.

Not much to say. I prefer them over Walmart any day. Better selection of food and quality of food. A little expensive but worth it!

They got rid of self-checkout for some unknown reason, the checkout lines are staffed well during the day but terribly at night.
