I must be honest, I was very apprehensive walking in the front door, although it was being held open by one of the Drive Time personnel with a smile on his face as he welcomed me in, and even after Manuel Nunez called me prior to my arrival. This is the first time Ive ever heard of Drive Time, and the first time Ive ever followed up on a website advertisement by actually visiting the location. But, once Manuel greeted me by name, and gave me a firm handshake (He really gave me a feeling like I was around my family), I started to be a bit more comfortable. Understand, I was still ready to hear Manuel give me his sales-pitch, but I waited in vain because he didnt have one. Instead, he asked me how my day was, offered me a refreshment, and he genuinely cared about what I was telling him as we just got to know each other a little. The fact that he wanted to get to know me, and wasnt trying to push me out to the car lot right away, so he can try to make a sale, put me even more at ease. By the time we got around to talking about what kind of car I was in the market for, we were well-acquainted, able to be open and honest with each other, and on such a comfortable level that we had narrowed my likes and dislikes down to the car that I just drive off the lot today!!! I forgot to mention Jennifer (If youre reading this Jennifer, I apologize for not remembering your last name), who found the car that we narrowed the search down to. The twist to this is that the car wasnt at the location we were at, and didnt know the status of the car, but she battled to obtain that car for me. Not only did she win the battle, making the car available for me to buy, but she physically had the car in Downey the very next day! Ive purchased many vehicles in my life, but Ive never been so comfortable doing so that I befriended the person that sold me the vehicle. Great atmosphere, great vehicles,, and absolutely great personnel is what I encountered at Drive Time in Downey!!! I will refer everyone I know to buy there next vehicle at Drive Time in Downey, and they need to see my new friends, Manuel and Jennifer... Thank you very much for pleasant experience, you two!!!

I had the best experience at this DriveTime location, beginning with my initial call to inquire about a car I was interested in, all the way to when they walked with me out to my car to drive it home. Jim was the first person I spoke with on the phone and he was very helpful and pleasant. When I arrived the next day, Terrence helped me with everything and made the process very quick, painless and I never felt pressured to buy something I wasnt interested in. I did appreciate that he took the time to show me what other options I had, but respected that I knew what I wanted. Toward the end Mahealani helped me through the final finance paperwork and made sure that I understood everything before signing. They all did a fantastic job! You can tell that everyone here is passionate about helping people and enjoy what they do. Everyone has a positive attitude and a great sense of humor (Humor gets them 5 stars!) I usually dread car shopping, but this was the easiest process. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is in need of finding a quality vehicle. These are the people you need to come see!

This place does what their advisements say they do....get people with bad credit in cars. The first quotes they gave me were high. I found out that was because they try to sell you their "products" with the deal. Things like gap insurance and extended warranties. After I asked a few questions they presented me with the price of the car without all the products. I was glad to see they were still friendly and helpful even though I didnt want their products,... I didnt feel like they were hard selling me, and that was good. The experience was comparatively easy compared to other car buying experiences Ive had. So far so good with my new (used) car. I like that it came with a 30 day warranty and 5 day/300 mile return policy. I enjoyed working with Lani and Anthony to secure the deal. Both of these individuals were professional, helpful and friendly. If the car lasts and doesnt have any problems I will be completely satisfied. Time will tell.

Purchased a Ford Focus 2013 on Saturday 5/14 to find out 1 week later that the Transmissions has a problem. Delt with Manny at the beginning who was very nice and charismatic but remember that at the end of the day they dont care about you, your safety or a $26k loan for a car worth 4k. They claim to have a 5 point inspection so i know that they knew the Issues before selling the car. Luckily Ford had a List Action on the VIN and they will be helping us fix the car for free but if it wasnt for my calling around and digging i would be stuck with the bill for fixing the car. STAY AWAY FROM DRIVETIME DOWNEY AND ALL OTHER LOCATIONS - bad business- they ask you to submit a review as soon as you leave the dealer so that you dont have time to see whats wrong with the car - sold me a bogus insurance package that does not cover anything. thanks so much Manny & Omar for this experience, will be contacting that class action lawsuit layer.

I desperately were looking for another car & went to 5 different lots before going to DriveTime Downey, they all gave me run around & "2 day wait approvals" but when I got to DriveTime I were greatly greeted by A gentleman named Wesley & A women named Claribell that were shadowing him.... They helped me out alot, got me approved fast, & made me feel like i had no worrys they had my back fully & had nothing to worry about, actually was A good feeling especially as being A first time lot buyer..... I drove off the lot in something better than what I expected & they were a great deal of help, didnt make anything diffucult it was all understandable, clear, & pretty simple...looking forward to goin back in the future & upgrading my car..... Thanks Again Wesley, Claribell, & Jennifer the Manager, I Highly Recommend Anybody Looking For A Car To Come Here, They Really Work With You

My experience at this location was amazing. The staff there are all nice and friendly. I worked with William Ward and he is such an amazing person he will get you in a car and off the lot. He was very helpful and really helped me out and now I own the car that I love. Through the process he explained everything well and was very detailed with everything. He made sure that I was satisfied with my car that I choose. If you need help getting a car I definitely recommend you speak to William Ward at this location. He will take his time with you and get you in a car. He is very professional, very patient and I mean patient and willing to work with you if you work with him. Thank you DriveTime, but thank you William for everything that you did for me and my sister today. I greatly appreciate it and you are a wonderful employee at DriveTime.
