After being a loyal customer coming in every few months to have my shih tzu groomed for the past six years, I was very rudely told that my groomer no longer works there and my dog is no longer welcome at the salon. The reason? A few years ago, my dogs tail was cut very badly by one of the groomers at Petsmart (and was still charged full price for the haircut). Ever since this time, my dog is very sensitive with her tail and therefore gives the groomers a little bit of a hard time when it comes time to groom her tail. I could see if my dog was a vicious biter but I have a hard time believing that she is honestly that difficult if my 2 year old can pull at her ears and tail with no reaction from the dog. I cant believe that I have been treated this way after being a loyal customer for so many years and also since it is their fault that her tail is so sensitive.

I dont usually post complaints, but I want to warn anyone who shops at the Bellingham @Petsmart about possible sick animals for sale. I bought a plecostomus (algae eater) for one of our fishtanks that came with a sickness that killed every fish in our tank (all at once- it was awful). This tank was well established and the fish had been happy and healthy for about a year. I complained to the store manager and his customer service was awful. No apology, no credits or refunds for the fish that were infected (only the plecostomus which I had bought a week prior), and with lack of emotion he said "so do you want to buy more fish?" Some of you might be saying "its just fish"- but I would question any animal that you buy from that store. If one fish can kill an entire tank, they must be slacking on care of more then just fish!

This Petsmart grooming salon is wonderful and a really good place to take your dog! They are great with my dogs and they do a fantastic job, and the prices are reasonable.

Fair selection of pet food. I would not buy an animal here ever they come from breeders that only breed for profit not for the health and demeanor of the animal.

Excellent selection of fair priced goods for pets. The only place I go for cat food and supplies. This store is usually very clean and well stocked.

Mckenzie is great and deserves a raise for dealing with high maintenance customers. Great with my dogs. Wouldnt send them anywhere else.

Big selection, the Nutro I get for my dog is $8.00 cheaper than Ive been getting elsewhere. Lots of toys,clothes etc...
