Total Wine is here, and I couldn’t be happier. We make yearly trips to Albuquerque, NM, and became big fans of Total Wine while out there. There are quite a few options for adult beverages in the Louisville area, but I kept finding myself wishing Total Wine was nearby. That wish has come true…FINALLY. We actually visited the first Friday they were open. Expectedly so, the place was packed. I didn’t want to be in a hurry, so we took our time getting to know this location. When you walked in the door (and after a quick ID check) you were given some tickets for tastings. You could taste a selection of wine or some distilled spirits. Both tastings were staffed by personnel who were knowledgeable about what you were tasting. I opted to whiskey, my wife for wine. I did try one wine, and the lady with the French accent tried to help me find one I’d like based on my beer preference, but that fell short (I’m just not a wine drinker). The décor of Total Wine is decidedly not warehouse-y. The place is well lit, but with dark, wood panel-esque highlights. It’s logically arranged, and has a pretty sizable walk-in beer cave in the back. :D They sport a spectacular array of craft beers, almost all available as singles so you can create your own meal – err – six pack. When it came time for getting help, we found help not very hard to find. Even though the location had only been open for a few days, they knew right where to send us for what we were looking for. Chances are, if you’re looking for just about any type of alcohol, you’ll find it at a pretty competitive price. Their selection is amazing, and you’re not limited to national brands. Friendly and knowledgeable employees help make the shopping experience pretty stress-free.

Staff was very helpful. Used computer to find wines I was looking for. Jim the wine supervisor seemed to know where every bottle was located from memory. He is also extremely knowlevable about all aspects of wine and has never not known an answer to my questions. Very helpful, pleasant, and loves talking wine. Only negative is I found a lot of very dusty bottles that needed attention.

Decorative and eye appealing displays. It had a HUGE selection of wine and accessories . Hosts Bourbon and beers. Beer tasting counter as well. Tables set up with Vendors , from Kentucky local s, such as Copper and King. Super attentive employees. Great store displays! Love the old truck!

Its a store called Total Wine and More. How can you hate that? Seriously, though, they have a HUGE selection. One of the employees said to us once that "if you cant find something you like in here, you have no business drinking," and he was right.

They were best in price till Liquor Barn now started matching or beating their price. They were 5 star in price but 1 star in service. Too much hard to sell their label. I would prefer Liquor Barn any given day as they beat price but service.

Whether you are looking for a nice red for dinner or a cigar to follow, Total Wine is the place. Huge selection of beer and liquor as well. The staff is always available and willing to help when needed. Best store in town!
