Took our cat in for a vet visit to renew her prescription for her special food. Shes been diabetic for over 3 years and we had just moved to the area and needed to refill her food. We had copies of her entire vet file from our previous vet who she had seen since we first got her at 8 weeks old and this cat has an extensive medical history. We have always taken very good care of her and are proud of how happy and healthy she is given all of her previous problems. The vet techs were very nice but the vet we saw treated me like I had no knowledge of our cats condition, criticized her insulin/food combination, tried to tell me that she could be in kidney failure and we needed to do almost $400 of blood work and urine tests before he would let us buy her food. This is the same cat that they had just told me looked to be in great health, shiny soft coat, excellent weight, alert, active, perfect teeth and in really great shape. Now youre trying to tell me shes suddenly in kidney failure? Shes been on this food/insulin combo for 3+years and has been in FANTASTIC health ever since we got her sugars regulated and settled on this combo. He wouldnt even talk to me directly but left the room and sent the tech in to tell me that he wasnt giving my diabetic cat her food until we dropped this money on the tests. I wasnt even yelling or anything, I was perfectly calm and told her that no, I would not pay for these unnecessary tests. I would pay for a fructosamine because she was due for her annual test but I wasnt going to pay the additional $250 on the extra tests because SHE DID NOT NEED IT. She had to keep leaving the room to consult with the vet because for some reason he refused to talk to me in person. Wtf? Ridiculous and unprofessional. He finally relented and let us buy the food JUST THIS ONCE because the only other option was ketoacidosis from feeding her regular, carb-heavy food or insulin shock from no food at all. I am never going back there again.

I had a very negative experience with a groomer recently. I arrived at 4:45PM on a Sunday requesting a nail grinding for both of my dogs who have been coming to Pet Smart for years. The groomer was outwardly annoyed and made no attempt to hide it. I wasnt sure why she was annoyed as there were other dogs and people coming and going, i.e., they werent closing. (My dogs are friendly, gentle, and sweet--a pugle and a beagle/cocker spaniel mix.) The groomers attitude made me a little nervous leaving them because she seemed a little aggressive, not patient at all. When I came back to get them after paying, both dogs were so happy to see me they were whining and trying to come greet me, (much like toddlers happy to see a parent). There was no friendliness or chit chat about how they had done on the groomers part; instead she opened the gate and practically threw the two leashes at me. She then closed the gate and left the room leaving me struggling with two over anxious dogs whose leashes were tangled so badly I had to get down on the floor to calm them and untangle them. It was an uncomfortable experience, definitely not one I want to have again.

Bad Groomers! My dog has been groomed many times and after this experience I would never bring him back to this location. He came back with knots in his fur, behind his ears and on his legs. He has long hair but never had come back from the groomer whithout being brushed! I called back and spoke to the manager who first said that he was brushed, then said oh no he actually was being nippy and then said it was my fault for bringing him in on the weekend. Terrible service, Ive never had this problem. He has been fine at every other groomer. Thanks for stealing my money and not giving me the service I paid for.

All employees were helpful, kind, and understanding. Everything I asked a question, there are ready with an answer. Just recently, I got a cage for my two rats and they helped me with transporting cage to my car. One of the best experiences I have had with any petsmart.

This is a very nice clean store. Employees are friendly and helpful. They sell dogs cats fish and other reptiles and amphibians. Theres tons of parking in the shopping plaza parking lot.
