The dump almost never has terrific deals, the draw for me is that they sometimes have unique pieces to look at and decide if the chance is worth the price. Sure, if you look at their tagged prices and they say this sold for 5499 and weve knocked it down to 2699, sure! Theyre giving you a deal. However, there are also deals at every other manufacturer to and from the reviews Ive always seen and different faces Ive noticed inside the Richmond location over my 5 years here Id say theyre not very competitive with their stuff. As well as arent the easiest to deal with sometimes for returns or warranty repairs. They would still get 3 stars though normally from me if they had their stuff together. Dont shut the lights out in the store when customers are still inside, let alone before you even shut the neon open sign off that sits in your front window. Obviously if I was going to buy anything, thats not important enough to observe common sense salesmanship tactics. Check em out, but check around to. Definitely look at overall construction condition of the item you are supposed to be purchasing because sometimes I see items barely holding together even though they look good. You get what you pay for so good luck outlet shopping!

Agree with the other reviewers. The delivery leave a lot to be desired. Called the afternoon before scheduled delivery to state that the delivery take place as originally scheduled but would deliver the day after. This did not work for me since I had arranged time off for the original scheduled delivery date. Agreed to another date that was a month out. Day before the rescheduled delivery date called the company since I hadnt received a confirmation call and was told that they do not have a scheduled delivery for my area for the next date. The person that answered the phone stated that my account had a note that stated the delivery had been change (once again) and I was not notified of the new date. After several phone msgs and emails that were not returned talk to the store manager (Nick). He lack luster attitude left me feeling that I would never see the furniture. Ive now made plans to pick up the item myself and wash my hands of "The DUMP".

We purchased a sectional on Dec.09,2011. It was delivered on Dec.13, as promised. However, after the delivery men left, we noticed a "foot" was missing. It was located on the back, so you didnt know it until you sat down on it and it went to the foor. It took us hours to get someone to answer the phone at the store, and we got the run around. After days of calling and waiting, we were told that it was on order and it would be sent to us. After weeks of not getting it, we e-mailed the "contact us" and promptly received a phone call onFeb.8th. She apologized and said that they just orderd it and we would receive it within a week. It is now March 5th. No "foot" has been seen, and 5 more e-mals have been sent to them with no response. They dont make it easy to contact anyone. Would not advise anyone to buy from this store.

I found a sofa I loved there. The salesman immediately said "I can probably throw in free delivery" and he knew he couldnt and didnt. He then said, the protection plan was about 5% in which it wasnt. It doesnt even work on a percentage scale. He has a chart on the desk that goes by price ranges. He called himself a "furniture nerd" but knew very little about the furniture. I called the manager afterwards to let him know these details and he said " I dont know why he told you these things. Sometimes we offer free delivery to "close a deal". I told the manager I had to reconsider my purchase because of these "dirty" sales tactics and he said there may be a restocking fee of 20% if it is already loaded. #dirtysalestactics #thedumpisthedumps

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! Purchased a gray sofa from the store. They delivered a brown one. I called and was told that it was a lighting difference in my house and that they dont sell a gray one. After going round and round with the RUDE store manager, Nick, he finally agreed that they did have a gray one and they would delivery it (three weeks after initial delivery). They delivered another brown one!!! Now, the manager refuses to return my phone calls or emails. They were supposed to pick up the brown one yesterday and they didnt. Absolutely the worst experience with a furniture store EVER. Their name lives up to the reputation of the store. NOT WORTH THE FEW $$ SAVED!!!

We have been to The Dump a dozen times over the years, probably more, and have purchased bedding and a chest of drawers. In our opinion, the quality of the items we have purchased is about equal to the price we paid. we have not purchased a lot more from The Dump as, generally, the "deals" really do not seem overly exciting. We have been able to find the same, or very similar, items online (Amazon, eBay, etc...) without dents or scratches, and with free delivery, for an equal or better price. If we were actually able to find what we perceive as good deals at The Dump, and if delivery was included too, then we wold snatch things up... but we just have not seen many of those types of good deals.

The sales person we worked with, Dee, made this a good experience and it is because of her alone that we will continue to shop there. Our fist scheduled delivery conflicted with closing on our house - the truck arrived as we were sitting at the attorneys office. I got a call from some higher up telling me we had to be home within 10 minutes or be charged 20% of our furniture fee for "restocking". Customer service was useless - they told us we had to go to the store to reschedule delivery. The only person who was helpful and made things happen was the sales rep who called us the next day and got everything taken care of for us.

Went to the DUMP on 2/16/19 and bought a Sofa from Gena (who was GREAT) there were 4 in stock at the time but could not deliver until 4/19/16 because we lived 1 1/2 hours away. Gena Called 2 weeks before delivery to confirm we would be ready. We sold our furniture the week before to make room for our new furniture. Gena called on 4/16 to inform me that the DUMP sold my Sofa and we would not be getting what we took months to finally find what we liked. Drove over 3 hours roundtrip to try to find another but they had nothing that we liked. Got our refund. I would NEVER recommend the DUMP to anyone!

I walked in there yesterday looking at 8-10 seating Dining tables. Your prices were amazing! One table was $300 cheaper than another store also with great pricing. Then I walked over to the clearance and there sat a large 96" dining table with a few scratches on it that can be covered up for only $192!!!! Not only did my Husband buy me that but we walked over and found also on clearance a 10X12 gorgeous rug with 3D looking leaves that almost look like Indian feathers. I am so happy with my experience considering it was my very first visit there. We will be back!
