I took my car to Emerald Auto Sales & Service on South Washington Street in North Attleboro for a car inspection. Needless to say, it is the last time I will ever do business with them! A moronic young mechanic, lacking in all self-awareness, informed me that one of my headlights was out and that it would cost a whopping $50 to repair the headlight. Since repairing a headlight in a car is a fairly easy job, and certainly not worth a $50 charge, I told him that a friend of mine would change the light for me and I would bring my car back to finish the inspection after it was repaired. Apparently, he did not like my answer, and was blatantly frustrated by the fact that I declined to pay the $50 for the repair. His manager then addressed me, insisting that I allow them to change the headlight for $50. Again, I declined the service. They then continued with their inspection, wiggled the front passenger-side wheel of my car, and said “your ball joint needs to be repaired, I doubt your friend can help you with that one!” Granted my knowledge of cars is limited, but I know when I am being hustled, especially considering my car was just serviced by the dealer. Emerald Auto Sales & Service charged me $35 and slapped a rejected inspection sticker on my car. In the end, my friend fixed the headlight and I had my car checked out by two separate mechanics, both of whom informed me that there was nothing wrong with the front end of my vehicle. My car passed inspection with another auto garage that didn’t feel the need to try and take advantage of me. So, if you are in the mood to get scammed, head on down to Emerald Auto Sales & Service! However, if you are seeking an honest mechanic, I suggest you go elsewhere.

I bought a 2001 bmw 325 from this dealer. From day one they were honest, up front and kept communication open at all times. The entire crew is down to earth and puts no pressure on the buyer. I experienced a mechanical failure with the car a couple of weeks later . Needless to say I was pretty angry. I called up emerald auto and spoke to Charlie and explained my problem. They fixed it free of charge without any hassle. Buying a used car can be stressful, you dont know what to expect. If you buy from Emeral Auto Sales you can expect a great buying experience and the assurance that they will do what is right even after the purchase has been made. I would recommend this place to anyone .
