I bought a used Prius from Dan and Chris at 1A Auto Sales, and had a great experience. Living in and around Boston my whole adult life, I managed to go without a car and just use the T and Zipcar for 10 years - but it was time to get one of my own now that I need to travel more for work. I live an hour away from their lot, but the fair price on the listing and great reviews led me to 1A. Despite my best efforts to do my research, theres only so much I could learn about cars in a month, so finding an honest and fair dealer was critical for me to feel comfortable handing over so much dough. I was not disappointed - Dan and Chris were very easy to deal with, there was no annoying sales-bro pressure, no hidden surprises, and they were very helpful and flexible at every step. They were totally fine with my getting a pre-purchase inspection with a mechanic of my choosing - a requirement for me. The car did have a few minor things wrong with it (from what I understand, just related to its mileage and the fact that it had not been driven much recently - so to me it did not reflect poorly on 1A), but they were willing to have them fixed at their expense before I purchased without argument. There were a few (relatively minor) things that could have been better with the car and werent in the listing - it was missing a few things (such as floor mats and a second key fob - not insignificant $), wasnt fueled up, hadnt been washed in a while, and a few minor dents and little scratches (Im sure nothing too unusual for a 4 year old car). However, the very fair price, ease and pleasantness of the transaction, and lack of tacked-on fees more than made up for these things, and I remain very satisfied with my purchase. If youre wondering if you should go and see a car at 1A Auto Sales, I highly recommend you do so. The next time I need a car, I will check their inventory first, and will gladly send my family and friends their way. They are also a family business, including their father who runs the repair shop at which the car was tuned up before I bought it - which Im happy to support. Thank you Chris & Dan!

This was, without a doubt, the best used and general car buying experience I have ever had. I had bought 3 cars prior to my most recent transaction with A1 Auto Sales. The two brothers that run this dealership were very intelligent, knowledgable, polite, fair, honest, and efficient. With other dealers I ran into nonsense fees, overpricing of inventory, general manipulation ect. I didnt find any of this here. The price they list is the price you get. They give you INCREDIBLY competitive pricing, as well as try their best to maximize your trade in value (which I did in this transaction). It took two days to complete the transaction (only because I was coming from far away, and I needed to get the money together. It would have been done in one day if I had the money). They were happy to hold my car for a few days if I needed extra time. They also go above and beyond after the sale by helping with registration, as well as offering a very generous and free 30 day warranty (which they are flexible with), and a very flexible return policy. None of this really applies though, because they sold me a great car that has been operating perfectly since I bought it. Thanks for giving me hope in used car sales again! :)

I highly recommend Dan and 1A Auto Sales. Dan had a great price on a Subaru Outback, but was hesitant to pursue is it was a bit out of my area (Arlington). But after looking at Dans reviews and speaking to a relative in the business re: the value of the Subaru, I made the trip and eventually bought the high quality and well-documented vehicle. Dan is very communicative, honest, fair (respected my appointment to see car even though someone showed up before me to test drive). As I had to return with a check (and without a vehicle--so I could drive the Subaru home), I took the commuter rail down and Dan actually picked me up at the station--which went above and beyond . Do yourself a favor and see what Dan has when you are in the market for a used vehicle at a fair price that comes with the type of customer service that is becoming more and more difficult to find these days.

I have purchased 3 Prius from Dan over the past 5 years. My wife and I fly out from Wyoming and drive our new car home. We have done this 3 times and I can attest that we have never had a problem with Dans cars. We have never broken down, and for a 2000+ miles trip, we have never had any issues getting home. These guys take their time explaining any questions you may have, and are always clear and concise with their explanations. Dan knows his market, and he knows his product. Clear transparent pricing with no hidden fees also makes it an easy place to shop.

These are honest people and I was very impressed by their service! I bought a 2008 Prius from 1A Auto Sales this fall. Two weeks after buying it, the hybrid battery died. What bad timing! I was worried that I was going to have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars getting it fixed. But I called Dan from 1A Auto Sales and he said no problem, theyd rebuild the battery for free. And they did! Now its working fine. Im very happy with these guys. If youre shopping for a used Prius in the area I would definitely check them out.

Ended up buying elsewhere due to used car selection reasons. Had to call ahead to make sure there would be someone there early on a Saturday, but the salesperson was very laid back, agreeable, knowledgeable, and let us test out whatever we asked to try. If theyd had a model year/trim level that we wanted then we would have bought with them.
