I am very disappointed with the service I received this time. I have been getting my glasses from Freeds Optical for 15 years. This year I am very much displeased with the service I received. It was March when I got my eyes examined. Got my glasses back in 3 weeks. They where the wrong prescriptions in both eyes. I had to take them back and wait 3 more weeks just to find out that they had no tent in them. Mind you I never ever got glasses from them with out tent. Know they tell me that Medicare did not pay for my tent. Which they never did. I always paid out of pocket. This time I didnt because I was told by the doctor that medicade Will allow me to get tent with out coming out of pocket. So when my glasses did finally came back I had no tent and they needed to be adjusted. Well of couse I took them back and ask them to put the tent in and adjusted them. The Doc was to bussy to talk. So I ask if she could call me. Well the students that she has working for her called and relayed a message to me, that she was nice enough to give me tent 1st time..Not the glasses had No tent and had the wrong prescriptions in them. Now she want me to Pay $20 dollars for tent that I found out medicade has already approved. Not only that mine you I already have gave $158 to not have the line in the middle of the glasses because I wear bifocals. Please tell me if you would be disappointed in this kind of service. I started this process in March here it is August and Im still trying to get my glasses that been fully payed for.

Freeds is now called Washington eyecare and they moved around the corner they also changed staff I had my eye exam on October 21 2015 it is now march 30 2016 and I have not yet received my new glasses I have called numerous of times about my glasses I even called my insurance I was told that they was submitting the paperwork numerous of times i called yesterday they said that I have to wait two more weeks I would recommend in finding another eye doctor if you want accurate service because the staff dont take there job seriously and they have a I dont care attitude when I receive my glasses i will no longer return back me or my daughter and I been going there for at least 10 years

I called to see what time they closed and they told me 430pm, but since I wanted to browse their glasses I had to come in at 330pm. I dont understand how they can be open until 430pm for customers to come in and pick up their orders, but I cant come in for 2 seconds to try on one pair of glasses I can see in the window display. I even offered to come back at a later date before 330pm to purchase them if I liked how they looked on, but they said no.

Excellent, friendly staff. I found myself in DC with a broken pair of glasses held away from my face by chewing gum. I showed up late with no money; they were in the process of shutting down the store, but the optometrist took some pity on me (probably because he thought a guy bright blue chewing gum on his face deserved some pity) and fixed the glasses - turned out to be much harder than he thought.

They dont measure your face or eye the glasses they just tell you to pick up here and go about your business and the doctor is kool the rest of the staff is iffy
