After 10+ years of going to their competitor down the street, I saw the good reviews here and decided to make a switch. For Eyes is definitely my new optical home - Dr. Sutton was thorough, highly competent, and extremely personable. The entire office staff, from the manager to Kevin, who is an expert on frame selection, were a pleasure to work with. My one caveat, which applies anywhere you go, is related to BC/BS insurance: it turns out they cover your eye exam for glasses, but not entirely for contacts. So I was surprised by the extra charge for a contact lens fitting, and would suggest that they might want to mention that in advance if they frequently find that people are surprised (similar to the way they disclose that insurance will pay for a dilated exam, but not for the electronic alternative, and ask people to sign off on which option they choose, if any). I do not object to the charge - it turns out that its the totally normal additional payment required to cover what insurance wont pay. I will also be more proactive about asking in advance exactly whats covered.

I strolled into For Eyes and into eye glass paradise. Paul Allen, as honest as they come, offered that it was that likely a delicate pair of frames would survive swapping out old lenses for new; others had said too risky to even try. At For Eyes, the impossible is possible! The "operation" was successful...score one big point for For Eyes in Metro Center. Paul also noticed something awry in the prescription from my (outside) opthamologist; he consulted with the independent optometrist at For Eyes (without charge) and telephoned my (outside) opthamologist. Score two points. Very reasonable prices and refraining from even trying to sell me what I dont need. Three points. I am told that For Eyes changed management a few years ago; that may explain the low ratings a while back. This is one very happy customer. By the end of the experience, I truly feel as if I had made a friend in Paul Allen.

I dont normally write reviews, but this store is bad enough that I feel obligated to help others stay away. When I first went to get contacts from them, they should have applied a 10% discount, but didnt. I didnt catch their error until a year later when I needed contacts again. Even though Ive the receipt and the transaction is in their system, their response was tough luck asking for a refund a "YEAR" later. They owe me only $6 or so, but these lamers wouldnt give the refund. If they discovered that I owe them money after a year, you can bet that they would have come after me. So stay away from this store if you want to avoid bad customer service.

Ive had horrible experiences with eye doctors in the past, but this place is changing my mind. Unfortunately, I dont recall the doctors name, but she was fantastic. She really took time to make sure my prescription was just right instead of rushing me through to see the next patient. Then there was Erica. She helped me pick out new glasses and sunglasses with the patience of a saint. Im a VERY picky person when it comes to glasses, but she made it fun to try on new things and get it just right. I will definitely be back.

I have not once had a good experience with customer service - staff was extremely rude over the phone (G st location only), on multiple occasions, even after I was on hold for 15 minutes trying to order contacts. I felt a burden to them asking basic questions about insurance, contacts, and general costs. That aside, the Dr. I saw was great.

Came there really desperate with heavily bend glasses - I am a backpacker and didnt have the money nor the time for a new pair. The old and really nice man with the Santa Clause-like white beard really managed to fix them for me- and that for free! I am really grateful for that and can only recommend this awesome place!!!

Customer service was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Optometrist didnt treat you like another number. Quick but efficient exam. She educated me on my eyes and their current condition so I felt completely taken care of. I suggest going to this business for glasses or contacts, exams.

I went in to get glasses repaied. The person who looked at them was incompetent and told me they were unfixable. I took them to Jems optical down the street and they fixed them for 8 dollars. There name is offensive and so is there service.

Terrible customer relations and support. The assistant wrote the wrong prescription for the contacts I ordered from Costco. Manager Paul would not accept responsibility and I was stuck paying for the wrong lens. Dr. Lee is fantastic!
