I wanted to give my business to our new neighborhood business. The optometrist is funny/quirky, which I can see from the review doesnt resonate well with all customers, but I thought he was funny. I received helpful assistance with selecting frames, etc. BUT - when I got my glasses (blended lenses), I found that I wasnt able to read my computer screen nor read without tilting my head in awkward positions. (Note, this has happened with my previous optometrist, and they happily re-measured the lines on lenses where the prescription lines blend and ordered replacements.) NOT SO with this practice - when I went back to the office, after a few days adjustment period, the dr. told me I would need a separate pair of glasses for computer use, as Id "never be able to get good vision for distance, computer, and reading in one pair of glasses" (again - this has not been problem for me ever). Chalking it up to my age as the reason my eye sight could no longer be corrected with a single pari, I went ahead and ordered lenses just for the computer, using some old frames to save $. NOT HAPPY - especially since I could use the computer with them but couldnt look down to paper or up across the room - AND the reading portion of my other glasses still use eye strain. Id call it an anomaly, but the SAME thing happened to my husband -- he cant see well with the glasses he got and was not offered a solution. SUGGESTION TO THE OFFICE -- avoid debating the customers who posts reviews. Your responses, however, reflect how you treat your customers in person though.

iGlasses @ four corners is a small business for and by unique personalities. Their walls are lined with beautiful frames youd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. Owners David and Judy Pollack and optometrist Dr. Kellner speak animatedly and have little patience for people who break the rules of doctors office etiquette, say by arriving very late for appointments, not caring for your glasses or contacts, or not scheduling the proper appointment. However, when patients treat them with respect they respond in kind. For example, today at my annual exam, after only having met me once before, Dr. Kellner remembered where I am at school, what I study, and quirks about my prescription. He recommended that I put a new prescription in my existing glasses frames since they were in fine shape (something no other doctor has recommended before, since they make money from selling frames) and gave me a rebate to make my contacts less expensive. David was able to put my new prescription in my glasses in 15 minutes, and while I waited they gave me a card to go buy a coffee next door on them. Everyone who works for iGlasses @ four corners was friendly, professional, and helpful. I look forward to going back!

I went there to get my glasses and contacts measured and left unhappy because the doctor decided that I should use bifocal contacts instead of univision which is what I have used for 25 years. It was upsetting that he said he was going to give me a prescription for what I needed rather than for what I wanted. He made me wear one set bifocals and although I explained I was not able to read with them he said I would adjust. I left that Saturday but called on Monday and told the office I could not read with those contacts. He said I should come back to adjust the bifocals. I did not go back and went to an ophthalmologist and got a new prescription. The shock was that when I went to Costco to get the new contacts they told me IGlasses already had got an authorization for the bifocal contacts. Before I left I told the optician I did not want to buy those contacts. When I called to complain I was told they seek authorization from your insurance for not only the visit but for glasses and contacts they get to make sure you can pay those charges. This was my experience and I dont think that is right.

I just had an incredible experience at iGlasses with Dr. Kellner and their staff. Very experienced and passionate group of people. Ive never had such an thorough exam!! Thanks to Dr. Kellner, I got contacts that were fitted to my eyes and were actually comfortable to wear. When it came down to picking out my frame, the young lady there helped walk around and I ended up choosing an absolutely stunning pair thanks to her! I wanted to go boring, metal frame, but she suggested I take a photo and send it to a friend. Even with a selfie in hand, I knew what my right choice was. I loved the contacts & glasses I got here. Ive never bad so much fun at an optometrist office! If you want excellent customer service, beautiful selection of frames, support an awesome local business (used to be Davids Opticians in Potomac), do yourself a favor and get here ASAP! Tips: parking in private lot in front facing colesville road. If its full, theres parking in the back. Same shopping center as the florist, chipotle, and Starbucks. Dog friendly!!!!!

When I went in a older women who worked there was way too aggressive. She interrupted another employee who was helping us HE was a very nice young man. She demanded our insurance card when we asked an estimate on price. Almost snapping her fingers as I got it out. She was rude and loud. Not the way you treat a prospective customer. I walked out and Ill never go back. I guess everyone has their own experience. But I would not recommend going here. The older women and who Im guessing was the doctor employee loudly argued in the background as I was looking around. Who does that? How unprofessional and awkward. I have let both my community list serves of my personal experience at this store. They will go out of business soon enough :). If you need anymore proof not to go here, look how they argue with the negative reviews on here. You dont treat people that way.

I had an appointment today with Dr. Bruce Kellner. He was rude and dismissive, and berated me like a child because I dont change my contact lenses often enough (what a bizarre thing for someone to get so mad about!). When he saw that I was upset because of the way he was speaking to me, he just laid into me some more. When I announced that I was walking out of my appointment, he demanded that I sit down. No apology. My husband (who Dr. Kellner refused to allow into the exam room with me) also had an appointment, but chose to leave with me after seeing how upset I was. So, if you dont mind an optometrist with absolutely no bedside manner, go ahead and come here. Id rather find one that knows how to treat his patients like human beings.

I acommpanied my mom who had an appointment. The optometrist, an older man, was so rude to me. I was sitting there in the exam room on my phone. He told me you people and those phones, youre always on them! He looked at my mom and said, my grandchildren are always glued to those things. When I said, yes they are actually very useful, he looked at my mother and said, oh look, she speaks. Later, he whistled at me because he wanted to give me my moms otc eye drops....Im not the patient, Im not a dog, and Im not his grandchild. I felt super uncomfortable. The other employees were very helpful and respectful. My mother was able to use her own frame and pickup her glasses in 30 mins.
