The Optometrist next door was a horrible experience. I was in search of a better doctor, instead it was the opposite. He was rushed and anxious. Once I set down for the letter visual tests he neglected to properly clean the lenses. After two tests I explain to him that the lenses are dirty and the tests cant be correct because I cant see through them well enough to give proper answers. He then blames me for the lenses being foggy (when it was clearly smudged with black dirt), and tells me that no we wont redo the tests. Also, he states that one of my eyes has a higher air pressure level than the other, and says we need to fix that but doesnt actually do anything to help or fix it. Then he tells me to go to the next room. He says sit down and put in the contacts in a rude tone. Then he exams me again and hands me my prescription. I see that the prescription is slightly changed from my normal, I ask why and he tells me I have a slight astigmatism in both eyes. Ive never been told that, and Ive been going to an optomrist since I was 10. Instead of addressing my concern he just states I have astigmatism and go to the front desk to check out. While Im waiting to check out I express to him that the contacts were bothering my eyes and they felt dry. He stops walking and shrugs his shoulders while saying, " Those are meant for dry eyes, if those dont work youre out of luck. " And then he walks off. It was the absolute rudest, uncaring optomrist experience within 12 years. He made me feel like a rushed piece of cattle instead of a patient that needed care and answers. I felt sick having to pay close to 200 dollars for an exam with such an appalling experience. The only reason there is one star is because Blake from Lense Crafters was extremely informative, kind and helpful. Thank you Blake. But no thank you to the male optomrist next door. Its shameful to treat people like that.

I had my eyes examined by the optomistraist in LensCrafters located in Park Plaza Mall. He was the BEST optometrist I have ever met. He listened to me, explained why my eyes were doing certain things. Ive never felt this informed and educated before. He is a very sweet man that takes his time with his patients and I cant say thank you enough to him! Now, on to the actual store. Great customer service, everyone was friendly and helpful. They had a great selection of glasses and even a sale going on 50% off your lenses with purchase of any frames. So Im thinking great! I found some decent priced glasses and went to order them. Now keep in mind that this was 50% off my lenses which are basic lenses as well as a discount for being a Blue Cross Insurance holder and the glasses I picked out were only $120. My total after all of that was still close to $300! I was absolutely floored, what are they making the lenses out of, pure crystal?! So of course I didnt purchase them, I went back to Success Vision were I can get TWO, 2, TWOOOO pair of glasses for $99. Total after TWO pair of lenses and frames at Success Visions was $130 (the total of one pair of frames at Lenscrafters lol!) So my advice is go see the optometrist there, get your script then hall booty over to Success Vision on Mccain Blvd. Youll save yourself a lot of money and time!

The optometrist at Park Plaza mall was great, but at Lens Crafters it was a good thing I had studied my insurance benefits, and what it covered and knew what I needed because all the lady did was swing her computer screen around and tell me $195! For glasses I probably dont need. My vision is still 20/20, but I work at a computer all day so the doc recommended a very mild set that would help for computer use only. They were trying to charge all kinds of crazy amounts for stuff I dont need without explaining. $45 for polishing the bottom of the lens, $95 for polycarbonate lenses so that wont shatter if hit by something (at my computer?) and $45 for anti -glare. Needless to say I had them take that mess off and I got out for $10. Now on my first day with them I noticed a chip in the lens and have to take them back for repair. Ugh. We shall see how this goes... In the future I wouldnt mind going to the same optometrist, but I would go elsewhere to get the frames and lenses. Good thing I dont truly need these. I also have figures out I am in the wrong business. $120 for a cheap a** frame? Really? Cant believe insurance hasnt regulated what they charge for certain things. Oh well.

I would like to rate Dr. Malcolm Hutchins, O.D. P.A./LensCrafters, Little Rock AR at Park Plaza Mall. I had an eye exam on December 14, 2016, and before I saw the doctor Sara, the eye Technician/Receipting asked if I had insurance. Which is a good question. I did not have and was given a price of $106 for eye exam. I told her I wanted contacts. When it was time to pay, I was told the price was $170. I was upset because that was not the price given me before my exam. I was told that the added amount was for contact exam. This should have been told to me up front. Then when I got home I found out the prescription that Dr. Hutchins wrote was for eyeglasses only. I had to call to ask that they mail my contact prescription. I complained about being overcharged from what I was told and Dr. Hutchins never responded. Poor customer service. I am still waiting on my contact prescription andvtodsy is 12/19/2016. I rate overall service POOR

Wish I could give no stars to the Park Plaza Mall (Little Rock, AR) Lenscrafters. The coating was poorly applied on my lens on one side, so I can see clearly out of the right lens but "with much strain" through the left lens. Within 2-months after purchasing my husband took the glasses to be repaired, but since we did not purchase the warranty they reported no obligation to correct mistakes - even when it is clear they were in error since the coating is only peeling from one side. I contacted the corporation and so far no reply (purchased glasses months ago). I also purchased a pair of prescription sunglasses, which are fine, but the extremely needed" daily wear glasses are causing eye strain since I cannot afford to purchase another pair until early next year. I highly recommend that you purchase your prescription glasses at a place that puts more value on customer care.

I ordered a pair of frames that i loved. Unfortunately, there was a design flaw and they never fit even after 5 return visits. They were so stretched out, it was terrible. One employee told me "Ive never sold this frame without there being a fit problem". Of course this was after the fact. After spending $500 and being very frustrated, I finally sent an email to the home office. They contacted me to say they would discuss with the local manager. She called me to come in and pick out a new pair of glasses at no cost. They could NOT have been more professional and nice. I have been going to LC for over 25 years and they just won me for another 25 years.
