I dont know how this place is on tattoos but they are definitely not a place to go for piercings! let me just tell you about my nightmare of an experience... first of all i called the shop to see how much a smiley was. (a smiley is a mouth piercing located on the upper frenulum) they told me it was 30$ with a horseshoe. i went in that night to get it pierced and waited two hours for the piercer named gilbert to do my piercing. the place wasnt busy at all it was a wednesday night. so i basically sat there and waited for two hours for him to act like he was doing something. he finally called me over and it took him about 20 minutes to prepare everything (because he mixed up the alcohol and mouthwash cups several times) he finally did the piercing and charged me 40$ for it (which i didnt really care about at the time i was just glad it was over) and then i left. as im getting in my car my piercing falls out of my mouth because he didnt tighten it correctly. I went back inside and he put the ring back in and tightened it (or atleast claimed to) and i left the shop. about a week later this thing falls out AGAIN!! i go back in to get it fixed the next day and he puts it back in and ASSURES me that it is tightened. i went home and it fell out again three hours later!!!!! at this point i was completely over this place so i went to see this awesome guy at stroke of genius tattoo in boca that my friend recommended. he told me that the piercer gilbert at black rose pierced my smiley so wrong that he pierced my gums instead of my frenulum and it could have ruined my gum line!!! :( the guy at stroke of genius repierced it for me and gave me a new ring and it hasnt fallen out yet or given me any problems!! I am going back to black rose tomorrow and demanding a refund! please dont go here for piercings and if you do please dont let gilbert do it! this whole experience has been an absolute nightmare.. DONT TELL A CUSTOMER YOU CAN DO A PIERCING IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOURE DOING PLEASE BLACK ROSE!!!

By far the worst tattoo shop I have ever been to. I do not by any means recommend this place to anybody. The entire staff is unprofessional, the owner by the name of Gil over charges and recommended an artist from his shop named CHELSEA to work on my arm. He requested pictures of the area since it was going to be a cover up. 6 weeks later when I arrived CHELSEA stated she never received the pictures and had not even worked on any type of designs ... so i decided to let her work on my fore arm to finish a sleeve i previously had started months ago. Half way through CHELSEA stated "ohhh the lines are too thin let me go over it with a thicker needle" (of course she charged by the hour so a one hour tattoo turned into a 2 hour tattoo which she charged for) the tattoo was the worst ive ever gotten. It was supposed to be a very easy Polynesian style tattoo which was suppose to be only RED ink. All the lines where crooked so that shows you that she has horrible hand coordination and in many areas black was blended in with red so you see a red and black tattoo clearly showing that she does not know how to blend her colors. (I specifically made it clear it needed to be bright RED) When i brought it the owners attention "GIL" he said "come on in ill fix it but will charge you $150 per hour" and did not provide the customer service an owner of a tattoo shop would or should. Hes defense was "you should have made an educated decision by looking at her per-folio ... i replied you are the owner you knew what style i was looking for you referred her to me, he then hung up the phone on me. By far the worst place STAY AWAY from the Black Rose.

do not go ANYWHERE ELSE for your tattoo!! my dad recently passed and I wanted to get some ink in his honor. I made the mistake of going to a shop in boca raton because of reviews I had read on yelp and I cannot explain how AWFUL of a job the "artist" did!! not to mention they charged an arm and a leg while the "artist" was eating a sandwich at his station when I came in. i honestly thought that there was no way to save the tattoo and make it into what it was supposed to be and they couldnt care less. then i found Sabrina at black rose tattoo shop. she literally took a complete mess and did everything she could to make it right (which seemed impossible but somehow she did it!!) she listened to what i wanted and took the time to understand why it was so important to me. she took her time to make sure i was happy and told me to come back any time if it needed to be worked on further. i stopped in a couple of weeks later because some of the flesh color had faded (bc she needed to use SO much to cover what she could of the first guys beyond sloppy work). she wasnt there so i left her a note and she texted me the next time she worked and made sure, AGAIN, to do everything she could to ensure i was happy!! it was seriously like having an old friend or family member do it because she cared that much!! the shop was clean and her work is perfection. i am so so happy that she and black rose exist or else i would be completely miserable!! she is a true artist with so much compassion. if you are looking for a shop where you wont only get incredible work but an artist that actually CARES, go straight to black rose and ask for Sabrina :)

Got 6 tattoos done on black Friday 5/13. A few family friends have been recommending this place for years. I finally got the time and money to go and get a few new pieces. Erik was amazing, he was very light handed so the pain was minimal, the healing has been so good so far, he told me to follow up with him after a week to check on the healing process and see if any touch up is needed. Everyone in the shop is hilarious and all very professional. Youll be in good hands no matter who you see. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a safe place to get tattoos, with a consistent crew. Absolutely excellent establishment. Check out their Facebook page!

Went there with a friend for her tattoo by Vanessa who is a very friendly and a great artist. But while we were there, another tattoo artist by the name of jimmy was talking very rudely about a client who recently left. I understand that people will talk about clients but there were several others in there including us who had to listen to him talk about how she looked like she was "decaying right in front of him". Then he got a phone call from a telemarketer and proceeded to throw two phones across the room yelling at the top of his lungs and cursing. Thought it was very unprofessional and felt very uncomfortable in there.
