We bought a couch that broke within 7 weeks of purchase. When we went to the store to complain, the customer service manager was rude, abusive and dismissive. She didnt even offer a perfunctory "oh, Im sorry to ehar that" or anything to that effect. When I tried to explain how difficult it would be for us to bring the couch (its heavy and I dont have my own truck) she literally turned her back on me and declared "this conversation is over." When I said "No it isnt, Im not satisfied," she threatened to call mall security and have us removed (I was there with my wife and had our 1-year old on my shoulders). As we left the store, we met mall security outside - she actually had called them rather than listen to her customers! I spoke to the mall manager about proper and improper uses of the mall security personnel, and he was friendly, listened carefully, and expressed concern for my wife who was visibly upset. I also called Value Citys corporate headquarters to complain about how we were treated. They, too, handled the situation like professionals and I think theyll resolve the situation to our satisfaction. Ironically, the remedy they proposed was one the on-site customer service manager might have been able to offer. But she would rather rely on mall security to get rid of dissatisfied customers than do her job - customer service. Again, FSK mall management were fine. The mall security guys were all right. Value City corporate handled things well. But the quality of the product we bought and the attitude of the customer service manager were extremely disappoining. To say the least. Sheesh.

NEVER AGAIN !!!!! I began paying on my furniture in Jan/2011...for a three piece set and was told i had 90 days to pay it off and the piece wopuld be delivered. I came back in 30 days with all the money to put on the furniture so i can schedule delivery and was told that my piece was not being made anymore so they did not have it and putting down partial payment does not guarantee the item (no one told me that), okay 30 days ago it was here. I demanded to speak with a supervisor who informed me that he would discount another item for me so i took my time and found a really nice piece and was told if i payed for it in total that my piece would be available and so they took my $900.00 and set up a day that i can pick up the furniture. Low and behold i get a phone call 2 weeks after i left them my money and was told that My furniture is out of stock for another month and a half. WHAT TYPE OF FAKE BUSINESS IS THIS!!!!!!! No remorse or attempts of compinsation on anyones part so i am writing reviews and filing a complaint with the attorney generals office as well as BBB. So they will have my $900.00 for a total of 7weeks and i have no furniture and it is may and all this started in jan. and they have not even offered free delivery. THEY SUCK, DONT BUY HERE !!!! i would love to pull my $$ out but already had my house painted and decor bought based off of this because i was told my full amount down would secure my furniture....THEY LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About three years ago we have purchased over $10,000 worth of furniture from VCF, and purchased warranty with them. As of today, we are unable to receive any service from them. Every time we call to make a schedule for service and no one shows up on the day of the schedule. When we call to follow up on, every time they are telling me that they have no record of any service schedule. Not to mention, every piece of furniture that we purchase was the worst investment that we have ever made. I have literary spends many days and hours with VCF representative regarding this issue, and receive no resulation to my issues. I was promised many times that store manager will give me a call first thing next morning, but never happened. I am not exaggerating here, in my three years of calling them and talking to them I have not found one friendly service rep who talks my matters seriously and sincerely. All my asking was to take care of my furniture which I paid the warranty for. They way VCF Rep speaks to me that they are giving me something for free or I am asking something that I should not have been asking. One of the worst furniture company that I ever dealt with. I would not only NOT recommend anyone, instead I would suggest stay away from VCF for your any your future needs.

Such a rip off. I will never recommend this store to a friend and I will never shop here in my life. If you want to know why, please read the details below. I placed my order on November 29th, 2013 for a bed, dresser with mirror and night stand. They promised that I can pickup all the items before Christmas and everything was all set until I receive a call from value city before a week to delivery date and they said they are missing head stand and night stand. I got upset and after speaking with their regional manager, he gave me free shipping to my house and promised to deliver all the items on January 15th. I received a call again just two days prior to new delivery date and when I asked about the missing items they said they are still missing and they will arrive around 15th February. I told them to deliver everything together and today when I just received the delivery, head stand for bed and night stand are still missing and the delivery gentlemen said the missing will be coming on March 11th. He told me the that someone just ordered the missing items yesterday.

THIS COMPANY SUCKS! After my boyfriend and I looked around and decided on a set of furniture, we decided to finance, the sales clerk entered the income incorrectly, by more than $1000 less than what it actually was. Then when they called to financing company they were unable to make any adjustments at this time...they then told us that they would call us back once they were able to make an adjustment, needless to say, VCF NEVER RETURNED OUR CALL, I called them and she said she would call us by the end of the day, that was over a week ago. So we decided to take our business elsewhere, I would NOT recommend this store to anybody, take your money elsewhere. Then they tried to sell us a coffee table at a discounted price because it was the last one in the store, after I pointed out a big chip on the corner of the "marble" the sales clerk said oh, well we can give you another $20 off. I was surprised that they would try to sell us a busted up table, it was just crazy. It makes you wonder what else they would try to sell you.

Terrible experience recently. Spent 4000 with them a couple years ago. One piece of our sectional was defective and under warranty. They couldnt replace so they offered us a store credit for that piece. We picked out more furniture beyond the credit, and set up delivery. Clarified at store with the manager that they would pick up the defective piece when delivering the new furniture. When delivery guys arrived they had instructions to take the whole sectional. My wife called and the manager screamed abusively at her through the phone. I could clearly hear him from the next room. They BAITed us with the credit, then SWITCHed what we received. They must have been banking on us wanting the new furniture bad enough to fall for their scam. But we didnt. I wonder how many people do. We were going to pursue the issue, but after seeing all the bad reviews online, its clear this business is failing. Cost us a couple days taking off work, but nothing more. Closing our account and never will return. Shoppers beware!
