I CAME OUT OF MY JOB AT 8:30PM AFTER WORKING 8 HOURS AND DONATING PLASMA TO FEED MYSELF TO FIND THAT THE "KILL SWITCH" HAD BEEN ACTIVATED. MINE YOU THIS, MY CAR PAYMENT IS ONLY 4 DAYS IN ARREARS. I CALLED THE COMPANY AT THIS TIME AND IT WAS 37*FAHRENHEIT HERE IN OMAHA, 5 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I EXPLAIN TO THIS REPRESENTATIVE THAT I WOULD GET PAID ON FRIDAY OR POSSIBLE SOONER. THE OPTIONS SHE GAVE ME WAS TO TRY TO BORROW 175.00 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, STRANDED IN A PARKING LOT OUTSIDE MY JOB. THIS REPRESENTATIVE HAD NO CARE OR MERCY IN HER VOICE TO ATTEMPT TO HELP ME. SHE TALKED ABOUT MY PHONE BEING OFF, BY THE WAY, I WAS TALKING TO HER ON THIS SAME PHONE. I DIDNT RETURN THEIR CALL TO MY HOUSE, WHICH WAS ON MY DUE DATE AT 1:OO PM OR SO. IT WASNT EVEN LATE WHEN THEY CALLED ME. I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND, HOW THIS CAR COMPANY EXPECT YOU TO WANT TO GIVE THEM A DIME OF YOUR MONEY, WHEN THEY ARE HEARTLESS, UNCARING AND ONLY ABOUT GETTING WHAT IS OWED ON PAPER. THEY DONT REALIZE THE STRUGGLE OF SOME POOR PEOPLE TRYING TO MAKE A PAYMENT THAT COST MORE THAT WHAT THE CAR WORTH. IM NOW STRANDED WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOUR DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS. I HAVE TO WORK EVERYDAY UNTIL CHRISTMAS. I REALLY AM SO DESPONDENT. I HAVE A CONTINUOUS PATTERN OF PAYING MY CAR PAYMENT BUT I CHANGED JOB WHICH CHANGED MY PAYDAY AND THEY DONT ADJUST YOUR PAY SCHEDULE. THIS WAS SO DISHEARTENING THAT THE ACCOUNT SPECIALIST CAN SLEPT AT NIGHT KNOWING THEY LEFT SOMEONE STRANDED ON THE COLDEST WEEK WE HAVE HAD THIS WINTER 2016 SO FAR. WHERE AS THE BUSINESS EDICATE GONE WHEN 5 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, THEY ARE DEMANDING A PAYMENT AND LEAVING SOMEONE ALONE IN THE DARK WITH NO WAY TO GET HOME AND ABOUT 10 MILES FROM THEIR HOME. PEOPLE BUY CARS FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF BEING ABLE TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO WORK, HOME AND NOT FREEZE AS YOU SIT IN YOUR CAR, THINKING THE BATTERY DIED, THEN YOU CHECK YOUR PHONE, THEY SAID WAS DISCONNECTED AND SEE THAT YOUR VEHICLE HAS BEEN DISABLED. THIS IS THE MOST MIND BOGGLING, DESPICABLE INDUSTRY :THE BUY HERE,PAY HERE CAR INDUSTRY. THEY JUST PREY ON THE POOR AND PEOPLE WITH BAD CREDIT, NO MATTER HOW CREATED. I REALLY WANT TO MAKE THIS INCONSIDERATION TO GO VIRAL. IT IS SO UNCARING, BAH-HUM-BUG CARHOP. I AM WONDERING HOW MANY PEOPLE HAD TO EXPERIENCE THIS. JUST ANOTHER WAY TO GIVE THE IMPRESSION "THEY ARE HELPING PEOPLE STAY ON TRACK". I WAS TOLD. THE STRUGGLE TO GET TO WORK THE NEXT FOUR DAYS AND IT IS COLD HER E IN NEBRASKA. IF I MISS THE NEXT FOUR DAYS OF WORK, I WILL MISS MY HOLIDAY PAY AND SO MAKING MY ABILITY TO MAKE A CAR PAYMENT THAT MORE DIFFICULT. IT ALREADY GOING TO BE A STRUGGLE FOR ME TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO WORK AND IT JUST MADE MY MENTAL HEALTH MAKE ME WRITE THIS REVIEW. MY ABILITY TO BELIEVE A COMPANY IS REALLY TRYING TO HELP YOU RESTORE YOUR CREDIT, IT HAS MADE MY WHOLE CHRISTMAS WEEK, HURTFUL BY THE PREDATORY ACT OF A COMPANY THAT MAKE MILLIONS FROM THE POCKETS OF THE POOR AND THOSE WITH UNSATISFACTORY CREDIT.
Had a couple offers from other dealers and thought I would try car hop. Took all day to get my credit application back and when it did I was approved for a 13,000 dollar loan, with 2,000 down. I found a car I finally liked. Upon further inspection, found tons of rust, coolant leaks, suspension and steering problems, prior body damage and much more. For a 2005 car worth four thousand dollars they wanted to change me 13,000. Went to another dealer and got a 2013 with 80,000 less miles. Do yourself a favor. Save your money for a bigger down payment and just go to a real dealer. You might not get a warranty but you will get a great car, not a p.o.s. yes they were very helpful but outrageous prices. The Kelly blue book in the 13 grand car was only worth 3500. Thats a ton of markup. Worst car buying experience ever, except they were polite. They didnt even have coffee. Had to buy a soda from vending machine and drive down Street to get a cup of coffee. Very high pressure buying experience and crappy cars. Looked at everyone on the lot and something was leaking on every one. And found a ton of rust on them all. For 13,000 I dont think I should have to spend several thousand to have a rust bucket that has air conditioning and drives straight down the road without leaving its mark, everywhere you go.
I am currently leasing a car from Car Hop. The car I got was in good condition and cheap payments. There were are few things wrong with the car when I got it. The guy that sold it to me said that he would mark down the problems and I could bring the car in to get fixed. When I did call to get it fixed, the guy I talked to claimed that only one of the issues was marked down. When I said they said they would fix it, he called me a liar and said it was up to me to fix it. Every call since, they have been unfriendly and rude and talk to you like you are an idiot. I would recommend finding another place to get your car from. If this is your only choice, make sure you see they mark down anything wrong and read the contract before you sign it, they will try to get you to sign it quickly so they can move on to the next person. I would go else where if I havent already put more than enough money in the car. I sure do not recommend coming here and will never get another car here.
I got one car from them. I like it so much I just got another from another location in Council Bluffs in there they are terrible Ive been telling them my check engine light they have yet to set me up to get it checked out. My sales and tax/tires papers to get my plates dont have my full VIN number on it and wasnt signed at all.The first sales man talk so fast you dont know what the hell he saying. This buy was a mistake and I felt pressured they just keep calling for me to come back so I did then. Your paying way too much for the cars. Im better off giving the car back and filing bankruptcy.
This is a terrible place to buy a car!!!! The first car my friend bought from them something broke on the car in the first week and then she returned that car and got another one. The second one something went wrong in the first 3 days!!!!!! Plus when they went and filled it up with gas no one mentioned to her that it didnt have a gas cap and put a washcloth on it! And now they are refusing to assist her with fixing the problem with the car even though its within their so called 3 day guarantee!!! BEWARE!!!! TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP!!!! Take your business elsewhere.
Bought an SUV and the alternator went bad. Maurice went above and beyond to help me with the warranty coverage to get me back on the road. Every interaction I have had with Maurice has been great. He is always kind and respectful On a side note I would like to say that I dont fault CarHop with the failure of the alternator. I had the vehicle for one month before it went out and the vehicle gave no indication that anything was wrong until it failed. There was no way to know it was going to go bad until the battery light came on.
