Today has been just a blessed day. My wife and I went to the N. Olmsted store to look at some living room furniture. We had purchased some furniture about 7 years ago and thought it was time to replace it. We saw something that we liked but the sales person told us it was out of stock for 2 months. We asked if we could buy the floor model and they stated that there had to be a replacement and it was not available for 2 months. We were very disappointed and left the store. I then went home and called around to other value city stores to see if the furniture was really out of stock. I went on line to get the name of the furniture and called 3 other sores.Three other stores said that they had the October collection that we wanted. I then called the N. Olmsted store to speak to the manager (Who I believe was named Wayne).. He was not scheduled in until 2 days later. He then returned my call 2 days later and I began to tell him what happened and he calmly stated that he would not only help us but satisfy us. I went to the store and the manager not only introduced himself but gave us a discount on the furniture we had chosen. Upon filling out the paper work, I told the salesperson Barbara that I wanted to go and sit and see the furniture one more time. WOW, to my amazement, the furniture that I complained about that we wanted (October Collection) was not the furniture that we had wanted to buy. Online they looked alike. How embarrassing I felt. I then went to the manager(Wayne) and apologized for such a big mistake. After telling him that his salesperson did not know what they were doing and should not be working there, I felt like crawling out the store. He stated that it was a honest mistake on my part. The furniture we really wanted was out of stock for 2 months. I was very disappointed, but Wayne did not let me leave disappointed. He offered me another brand for the same price. Talking about a praise break, felt like I was in church. I called my wife on the phone to get her ok, and we both said look at God. A double blessing because of our mistake not something the store had done. All that to say, what a great place to shop. THEY HAVE OUR APPROVAL. Thank you Value City North Olmsted. Wayne the manager and Barbara the salesperson. We would recommend this store.

So about a week or so ago me and my partner went to this store to purchase new furniture. We were recommend to come here by family for there great prices and selection. BUTTT we were completely unsatisfied!! The worst part is that we found a set we loved and after walking around for almost a hour and not being spoke to once or even greeted at the door. Even though we seen plenty of staff some even sitting on the furniture chit chatting we decided that it seemed we were not worth there time.. We got the vibe of not being welcomed or significant enough to wast there energy on.. So we left .. BUTTT as bad as it was it got worse I emailed the company privately and let them know what happen in hopes that it wouldnt happen again and it has been 5 days and I have yet to receive a e-mail back.. So beware of the terrible costomer servise...

Sales people on the floor are nice, but if you have a problem with the furniture that is delivered good luck. The customer service is terrible. We ordered a dresser set and mirror, but the dresser with the mirror did not match the other pieces at all. I talked with the customer service department and it seemed like I was being an inconvenience to her for having a problem. After being put on hold and hung up several times with the customer service department, while waiting for the so called manager, they finally stated they would give us a one time courtesy by replacing it. However, when the new one arrived it was the same mismatch in color. They also threatened us with a restocking fee when it is their fault to begin with for not delivering the correct furniture. It is highly unlikely that we will do business there again.

My husband and I bought a dining room set from the N. Olmsted Store. Let me start by saying that it is a PAIN IN THE BUTT to put together yourself. The second thing I would like to say is that the customer service from the "Manager on Duty" Javier, SUCKED BEYOND ANYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE. Between my husband and I we have over 30 years experience in retail and never would think of treating a customer the way we were treated. 3 of the 4 chairs that came with our table were broke or damaged in some way and the best they could do is charge us more $$$ to deliver and install the new ones. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??????????????? They gave me damaged product and they tell me its my fault because I didnt inspect an un open container (which by the way is not common practice there). NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY ANYTHING FROM VCF.

We purchased a kitchen table, platform bed, and a sectional couch. It was delivered 6 days ago. It is absolutely gorgeous. Our kitchen table is perfect and the chairs are so comfortable. It is very hard to find comfortable kitchen chairs that do not need a cushion. Everything is very sturdy. Our bed i so much more comfortable to sleep. Going to the store itself, everyone was very friendly and we were greeted right away. The lady was very helpful and patient while we took our time to look and answered any questions we had. The movers were on time and moved quickly and efficiently. Fantastic customer service!!! Will absolutely buy from here again in the future!

Everything that I have bought here has broke within a year after purchasing it. I bought 2 warranties for my couch. One that was unlimited warranty for the structure, the other one for material, accidental tears, spills, ect. My zippers completely ripped in the back, so the covers do not fully cover the cushions. Was told that is not an accidental tear. How is that not an accidental tear? So, I did it on purpose I guess that is what I am being told. So that is not covered! Have had furniture delivered to me broken in the past and was given a hard time when I asked them to fix it. Never again will I purchase from this place!

I bought a beautiful furniture set. Within 2 days my dog got ahold of my chair from his cage. Pulled it over and shredded the entire side of i was beside myself. I called them for days in tears hoping they could refer me to an upholstery company to try and get it fixed. After 3 days of them trying to help me they finally felt so bad for me that the replaced my whole chair with free delivery. They did not in any way have to do that. Its been 3 years since that incedent but I will reccomend them to anybody!!! Ready to buy some more and I will definitely be getting it from Value City.

Just bought this living room from them. We LOVE it and after much research we ultimately found the competition selling the same quality furniture for even more. The delivery was excellent arriving on time and in new condition. Downside is they are still greatly overpriced for the quality level, they refuse to budge on anything even though everyone knows the markup in furniture sales is usually around 300%, but again, the local competition was even worse. Bottom line: Decent mid quality furniture/overprice level about a 4.
