This is the most friendly, clean, and well-stocked grocery in the area. They also carry a number of local south Louisiana specialty products, which I really appreciate. However, the best part of Bet-R is the employees - they are always quick to help, you never have to wait in line as theyll open up a new lane as soon as they see you, and they are so polite and friendly. During check out, I often think how nice it would be if all young people were as nice as the folks at Bet-R. From a customer service perspective its the opposite of going to Walmart. On a recent visit I dropped my work ID in the parking lot - a full week later when I was checking out an employee named LaQuia (sp?) came up and asked if it was mine. She hung on to it for a full week and then noticed when I was there again! Folks, if thats not superb customer service I dont know what is. Thank you for being such a wonderful neighborhood grocery.

I came in to get a cool refreshing bottle of water, but me being the klutz I am was having difficulty finding it. Quickly an employee (I believe his name was Kaleb) guided me to where I could buy individual bottles of water. I was impressed because at most stores they simply tell you where to go, but the employees at Bet-R actually take the time to personally guide you. Bet-R really proves why shopping local is worth it. Cannot recommend enough.

Wonderful neighborhood grocery store for those that live in the Garden District or surrounding neighborhoods. After moving here from a more rural setting, where I grew up, I really appreciate the convenience of being able to ride to the store on my bicycle to pick up a few random things for dinner. The staff is very friendly, and they always have more than I expect.

Great neighborhood grocery! They have an excellent selection of products, a good If small deli, and a terrific selection of beer and wine. The owner and staff are cheerful and happy to assist. They will do their best to find and stock something if they dont have it. Highly recommended if you like a personal touch.

I enjoy the convenience of Bet R being in my neighborhood, I only wish their prices would be more competitive. Prices are high. I would shop there all the time if not for the high prices. The hot plate lunches are very good. The catfish is to die for.

What a great grocery store. We just moved into the mid-city area and have found the grocery store choices in Baton Rouge to be a bit narrow so this little neighborhood market is a great find. Great selection, friendly staff, and CLEAN!
