Very strange place. Stopped in and the door was locked during business hours. Owner opened the door and let us in. He asked if we called before coming. Made it seem like we had to make an appointment to come look at merchandise. Nothing was priced, which as a consumer, I find annoying. Owner said it was because the stickers can damage the product, which does make sense to me. When asking him prices, he said the prices fluctuate, because he goes off eBay prices. This was an immediate turn off for me. Why support a local business, that is going to charge the same as every place ever. I would rather sit in my underwear at home, and buy stuff online for the same price, than walk into this store. Owner also said that he would rather trade merchandise than sell for cash. Seemed odd to me, that he didnt want to sell merchandise for money, only wanted to trade and "keep merchandise on the shelf, because thats how he stays in business". What??? You stay in business by selling stuff for money. Also seemed hesitant to give prices. Kept asking us to look it up on eBay ourselves. All in all, it was a strange and confusing experience. Never going to make an appointment at this place where they may or may not let you in and may or may not want to sell to you. The guy was at least friendly though and the store itself looked good. So, theres that.

Look out gamestop : Battlebox has better service, a cleaner store, a great & surprising amount of merchandise and no corporate strings attached. Purely locally owned & operated by Milwaukee residents and features an in-house console genius to help tweak and maintain those systems! Check this store out, you wont be disappointed!! Prices are fair and reasonable. I am bringing more of my family back for the next visit, cant wait!

Battlebox is a small home business that reminds me of what buying video games used to be like. The owner is passionate about his business and very polite to a couple who were there before I arrived. The prices are good and his combo deals are even better than Amazon sometimes. I will come back again when new games come out to support his place. BTW, google maps is correct, stop when it says youve arrived!

I see the Battlebox as not only a store , but an experience. I was so impressed by variety of games and accessories this store contained, not only from todays games, but games of past times. Blows away GameStop 100x over. Willing to trade and offers very fair prices. Truly a one of a kind place. Definetly will return in the future.

When I arrived the clerk was helping another customer jump their car which deserves mention: as the clerk made sure I was knowledgeable regarding my purchase and even corrected a minor error I had. 10/10 customer service: I will never set foot in another gamestop as long as I live in milwaukee.
