HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Fred Meyer is horribly expensive, they dont have online shopping on their website, and worse than that, they have the worst customer service ever! Over the past year, Ive encountered several rude cashiers and customer service people having inappropriate conversations in front of me and my kids while Ive been in their Bremerton store. One of them even went on and on about how all of the managers there are morons and even was so bold as to swear a few times throughout our conversation. I felt it was very inappropriate, especially in front of my kids! I own a business and my husband and I go into their store twice a month to cash a money order that one of my clients purchases from their store and gives us as payment. Weve been in their store at least 6 times over the past few months to cash their money order and they have NEVER cashed it for us. Every time we talk to them they give us a different excuse at to why they cant cash it. One cashier said we needed the receipt attached to it. Our bank said that was completely wrong and made absolutely no sense. Why would we have the receipt? Our business customer that bought the money order would keep that part for their records. Weve been told we couldnt cash it because a name was on it, because it didnt have a name on it, because it was signed, because it wasnt signed, and on and on. Today we were told they couldnt cash it because the client forgot to write their address on it. It seems to me that they are just grasping at straws for reasons not to have to help us. Very disappointing Fred Meyer, very disappointing! Save your money and go elsewhere because nothing is worse than having to deal with Fred Meyers customer service!

I love that they have plenty of staffing at the front registers so youre never stuck waiting in line. However I would like to go to a store without being accosted by people trying to sell me unrelated junk. All summer long they had DirecTV salesman right next to the front entrance confront everyone coming and leaving trying to sell them television service. I was shopping here about twice per week at the time so I would have to tell these people NO four times a week at least. Once when entering and once when leaving for every single trip. That ended with summer, but it hasnt stopped their gas station from trying to squeeze more pennies out of me. Their gas pumps obnoxiously start talking to me every time I go to get gas asking me if I want to pay to add "Mileage booster" placebo junk to my gas. I should have to click "No" to something I didnt ask for every time I go to buy something. What do they think Im going to do? Get mad when they give me exactly what I asked for? And the icing on the cake, while Im telling the gas pump that no, I would just like gas in my car the same as the last 30 times it asked, someone is coming up behind me pitching free trials of some sort of product theyre selling to clean windshields or headlights or something else I actively try not to listen to. Fred Meyer used to be the most convenient place to do most shopping. Now its just obnoxious. And god help you if you ever have to go to the customer service counter. Their checkouts may be extremely fast but Ive waited as long as twenty minutes in line for customer service before.

IMPORTANT TRANS HEALTH ISSUE IN KITSAP: I would highly recommend that no one go to the Fred Meyer pharmacy in Bremerton for trans related health care. For 1 month and half now they have repeatedly given me BAD information about needles and testosterone. I have had 4 interactions with them about needles and every time they have told me the WRONG information. They keep trying to sell me the wrong needle size. They keep re-assuring me that the needle will work and my dr is just being a stickler. Well, you are only supposed to draw the testosterone up w/ an 18 gauge, which is what I have done for all of my injections. This last time they managed to convince me I could do it with a 22. THEY WERE WRONG. I had to wait 20 minutes for all the air bubbles to leave the T just so I could inject it and I am still not sure if I am going to have any harmful consequences. This pharmacy will give you the wrong equipment and will repeatedly (4 times for me now) tell you that your doctor and you are wrong. I have spoken to managers two times now and they just wave me off and tell me I am wrong. If I had listened to the information they had given me (I can draw up and inject w/ diabetic needles of 25 gauge) I could have been physically harmed. This pharmacy is literally dangerous to trans mens health. I am NEVER going to this pharmacy again. (Bremerton Fred Meyer Shopping Center, 5050 Washington 303 Bremerton, WA)

Horrible customer service at this store. On more than one occasion, Ive had to explain to their employees how to do their job. For example, theyll have something set out like "Buy this Carhartt product and get this X item for free". You go to pay for it, and they say that it has to add up to X amount of dollars. Mind you, none of this is advertised. On another occasion, their gun counter guy could show me the firearm I was looking to buy, but couldnt sell it to me because "the sales guy had left". Really? Out of all the people working, why in the hell would you have guns displayed for sale, but no one to actually sell them to you? These are just a couple of examples of their employees complete and utter incompetence. Save your money, and support someone local or buy off of Amazon.

Im not a big fan of their recent remodel, but Fred Meyer is still my go-to general retail store. Groceries are very competitively priced, as are most household goods, and the location is far more convenient than Wal-Mart. Their gas station also usually has the cheapest price per gallon in the city, so theres that. Great selection of wines and spirits, too, and theyre one of very few places you can readily get a good supply of .22lr ammunition (just about everyone else doesnt have a good supply chain). Lots of great shopettes and restaurants in the mini-mall here, too, so its not a bad place to waste an afternoon.

Great selection with tons of natural and organic foods in their healthy food selection from dry to cold this is the place to find sales as they often have various items on sale. Also this location has a gas station! Newly updated or as they say they just had their "Grand Opening" with sales and renovations basically complete all that is left is to train the staff as some are lost on where items are now or are so new it is easier to wonder rather then ask! Deli staff was new and confused nobody was trained on cashier so grabbing quick food required still waiting in line upfront!

I like a lot of the prices... I LOVE the new expanded natural and allergy friendly options available! LOVE the local produce and helpful produce staff. They just cant seem to get a good layout... even after the remodel. Here is a hint... put all refrigerator items together... next aisle... all freezer items.. and so on... I dont understand why they were spread out before and still now. Very hard to shop for ppl who like to get all the cold stuff last or load cart by category for easy belt loading and bagging. Having to cross back over already visited aisles.
