Bad customer service is the reason for this review and the low rating. I had been shopping there for almost 2 years but tonight was the last time. I have watched as new personnel (Dustin and Ellen) greet and interact with Caucasian customers in a friendly fashion but have no words for me when I step up to the cash register. I happen to be Black. Don has always been friendly but I havent seen him working in a while. Maybe management might one day realize that people are willing to pay more for products if they are treated as valued guests when spending their hard earned money. I will be taking my money elsewhere

This place is a bonified dive and just seems unclean. Been going there since it opened but Im done. Only one single door works for entrance AND exit (fire trap, anyone?), prices are missing for some items and are higher than WinCo, plants for sale are dead and dying, staff turnover high and I would never go here after dark. Do not recommend for budget and personal safety reasons. Ive seen staff chasing shoplifters out, yelling and screaming and theres a very seedy motel kitty corner from store whose patrons seem to want to shop there. Id rather pay a little more for cleanliness and safety when I shop.

I had the most unpleasant experience today (Friday, June 14) at Grocery Outlet Federal Way. The cashier lady named "Denise" was most unfriendly. I greeted her first; she looked at me in a very nasty way, and said nothing. I even helped bagged the items I purchased. She seemed very unhappy, said nothing the whole time. I dont expect any friendly conversation, but I will not come back to this store where cashiers cant even say "Hello" and "Thank you" to the customers.

I love this store and the people who work there. It reminds me of a small town store because of the customer service and I see the same employees every time I go into the store. Beautiful large house plants and I have never had one die after transplanting. Great prices on top brand name personal products. U can not beat the prices and the service and attitude of the employees will surprise u.

The staff are helpful and recommend products they have tried. Always like to hear how much you saved at the end of the check out transaction. They may not carry everything but your dollar will by much more of items you need that they do have than at the big market stores. If you see or try something you really like, buy several, there is no guarantee it will be there next week.

Federal Ways best hidden secret in plain sight! Amazing prices on all sorts of items and never dull! Their inventory contantly changes so you never know what great deals you might find. Always Friendly and helpful staff! Even if I buy nothing wonderful employees always make it a great experience!

Grocery Outlet has a great selection of top names and organic foods. Their prices are just about 50% less than their competitors. The staff at the Federal Way location is super-friendly and helpful. I rave about this store to everyone I know.
