I have shopped at this store since it opened many years ago. I have seen nothing but friendly, helpful, energetic workers at this location. I am most always offered help out to my car. (I may be 50 years old, but I still like the help out when it has been a long or hard day for me :-) ) I think that the prices are fair. (You can find cheaper things at other stores sometimes, but the service at this particular Safeway makes the price difference not even matter to me) The young people that help me to my car with my groceries are most friendly, courteous, and when I have tried to tip them, they refuse my money, they tell me that it is their pleasure to help me ! What more can I ask for in a Grocery Store ? Marshall, the front end manager or head clerk or whatever position it is that he does, he is certainly outstanding at his job !! If I am in line and the store is busy, I have seen him on Several occasions, take people out of line and begin a new line with him as the checker, Anytime I am shopping and happen to run into Evi (Or EVIE ?) She ALWAYS stops and takes the time to ask how I am and how my day is going ! I dont think I can speak highly enough for this particular store, I am sold on the Woodstock Safeway experience, I commend each and every person that I deal with at this store. Thank You ! Jonathan

I was turning in bottles and when I was cashing in my ticket the manager Jeff took my ticket ripped it in half and told me never to come back. Granted I was cashing in two tickets but it has never been a problem till today. Normally the cashiers let me cash as many as I have because I clean the bottle room when I am there and help with the machines, help customers that dont understand how to use the machines and much more. The ticket he disposed of was 7.20 cents. I am homeless and that is a lot of money and work for me.I realize that taking back cans isnt most peoples favorite thing or being homeless. But its better than begging or stealing. I am not a drug addict or thief my reason for being in my mess is legit and could happen to anyone. Thankfully I got back to work this week. I am going to pursue this as far as I can.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I hate shopping at Safeway I only do so because its the closest store. I have gotten used to the layout of the store, but at times I still dont get it and walk around aimlessly trying to find the specific thing I am looking for. When its time to check out I am always greeted by lines at least 3 people deep, at times getting to 10-15 people especially in the self-check lanes (which I also dont like). I see this problem routinely in most Safeway stores so I avoid them when I just need a few things and try to go somewhere else. They need to learn that the way to attract more customers is to have speedier checkouts! Try to go to Freddies or Trader Joes instead if youre in a hurry and want better customer service.

Ive never been in a Safeway that wasnt disappointing, and this is no exception. While an acceptable place to go for non-perishables and other dry goods, Safeways produce is, without fail, terrible. If you like mealy apples that are overpriced, this is the place for you. If you like lettuce where theyve hidden the slimy bits by placing them downward, this is the place for you. If you like fish that smells rancid even though its not supposed to "expire" for another two days, this is the place for you. Its fine for stopping in to grab an item or two, but for produce, meat, and dairy I would avoid this Safeway at all costs.

Ordered a cake for my kids graduation. The cake tasted good but the decoration was dreadful. It was supposed to be festive with a confetti theme, but it was just white icing with "Congratulations Graduates" written in the middle in what looked like a kindergarteners handwriting. One of the ugliest cakes that Ive ever seen. This is disappointing. I can remember when cakes from Safeway not only tasted good but looked as though they were professionally decorated. No more. I guess Safeway is trying to save money by firing its competent staff.

Used to love shopping here, after work, in the middle of the night!! No lines, minimal customers, etc. But then out of no where, they started closing at 2 am. For some of us Who work in the bar or night club industry - this is a total hassle. You would think they would want to appeal to as many people as possible, with the new seasons going in across the street- but maybe it was a matter of shoplifting, or Safeway not wanting to have to hire another employee.

I hate this Safeway. The only reason I end up here is because it is the closest to my office, and the Wells Fargo branch inside is where we make our weekly deposits. The lines are usually too long to wait, the self-check machines freeze up CONSTANTLY (Ive left without buying what Id tried to buy before because they continually froze for about 15 minutes) and of course, Safeway is always about 2 dollars more expensive than Fred Meyer.

It was a clean store, and the people were very friendly. I was looking for something easy to grill at our Hotel in Portland, and the store manager happened to be walking by and helped me decide what to get. My only knocks were the prices and selection in the deli/ butcher areas. We are from Colorado, but the prices were outrageous. When I went to a Safeway in Seattle, I realized how expensive this store was.

Safeway has been my neighborhood store for more than 17 years. With few exceptions, I have found staff to be friendly and helpful. My last two interactions, however are proving that is changing drastically. I was told by Sam today to not break my legs going to the new store across the street... thanks, Sam! I think thats exactly what I will do going forward!

I have been shopping here for 20 years. In the past three or four years the place has gone down hill. Prices are very high for everything! I had to buy one yellow onion a week ago and it cost over a dollar! Customer Service is non existent. I havent seen some of the regular checkers for some time now. Did they quit? Laid off? Very disappointed all around.

Very convenient to the general Woodstock district, but the prices charged at checkout are often higher than what was shown in the aisle, either because of the prices changed and they didnt bother to remove the tags, or the sale price is misleading, (i.e. Bold lettering saying "88c ea.", and tiny lettering saying "if you buy 10" otherwise, $2 ea.)

The deli is especially awful. The people working there seem confused and cant even make a sandwich correctly. A few of their workers are helpful and competent, but the majority do a half-ass job and look as though they hate their job. Pro Tip: The store is open 24/7, so shop in the middle of the night if you want to avoid lines at checkout.
