They present themselves as the biggest dealer and that they wont be undersold by anyone. They showed me their invoice receipts. And for some reason, their INVOICE price is a lot higher than what the other dealerships were quoting me for the same vehicle loaded with more options. Who is their supplier? It seems like I could go buy up all the Ford cars at other dealerships, sell it to Cal Worthington, and make a profit on each one because Cal Worthington is paying ridiculous prices from the factory . When I questioned him about how this is possible, he told me that all these other dealers are just giving me fake quotes that they could not fulfill. He just kept pointing to his invoices, and kept questioning me how they would never let me buy it at lower than invoice price. I just went back to one of the 3 other dealerships around that area that I visited that day, which all gave me better quotes. And I bought one no problem with no surprises. I did not get bait and switched like they warned me. I did not have to pay a mystery fee at the end. They did not try to haggle a higher price when I went back for the purchase. You can make your own conclusion on the value of Cal Worthingtons invoice printouts. Also, all these 5 star reviews are suspicious. They all seem to end their first sentences with exclamation marks, and all written around the same time. On another hand, I ended up buying from one with terrible google linked reviews, and that dealer seemed to be the most honest and straight forward. Im not saying take this review wholeheartedly either. Just do yourself a favor and comparison shop at least a dealer or two other than Cal Worthington. They will try their best to convince you to not trust the other dealers lower prices. Somehow there is something wrong with what they are doing. Somehow it is wrong for you to pay less than Cal Worthingtons invoice prices. Today I proved them wrong. Maybe you will too.

TERRIBLE SERVICE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND HARD TO WORK WITH, SPENT CLOSE TO $50,000 ON A 2015 EXPLORER HERE AND BROUGHT IT TO THE SERVICE DEPT FOR A CUP HOLDER THAT BROKE WHEN MY SON WENT TO SET A DRINK IN IT, THEY SAID IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND REFUSED TO FIX IT, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS DEFECTIVE AND DID NOT WORK RIGHT, I FILED A CLAIM WITH THEM AS I FEEL THE CUP HOLDER SHOULD NOT HAVE BROKEN THAT EASILY AND IT FAILED TO DO THE JOB, I WAS REFERRED TO THE SERVICE MANAGER CHUCK PIERCE, ONCE AGAIN LEFT MESSAGES NEVER TO BE RETURNED, NO ONE EVER RESPONDED TO ANY PHONE CALLS, IGNORED ALL OF MY MESSAGES AND EVEN WHEN THE REGIONAL MANAGER CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES TO TRY AND WORK IT OUT, THEY NEVER RESPONDED TO HIM EITHER, IT TOOK ALMOST A MONTH TO HEAR FROM ANYONE AS THEY WOULD NOT FOLLOW UP. FINALLY THE REGIONAL MANAGER DEVON CALLED BACK AND SAID THAT WORTHINGTON FORD IN LONG BEACH WOULD NOT HONOR THE DEFECTIVE PART AND i WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. PATHETIC!!! I GUESS WHAT IT COMES DOWN TO IS THEY GOT THEIR MONEY, ALMOST $50,000 SO WHAT DO THEY CARE, WE ARE TALKING A LOUSY CUP HOLDER AND THEY COULDNT EVEN TAKE CARE OF THAT. SO SAD. THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY FORD I WILL EVER BUY, I SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH MY GUT INSTINCT AND STAYED WITH CHEVY/GMC THEY NEVER TREATED ME THIS WAY. TO BAD I CANT GIVE THE CAR BACK, CAUSE I WOULD DO IT IN A HEARTBEAT, NOW I AM STUCK. WONT EVER TAKE IT THERE AGAIN, MAYBE CERRITOS AUTO SQUARE CAN BE MORE PROFESSIONAL AND THINK ABOUT THE CUSTOMER NOT THEMSELVES.

So, I am really sick of shopping for cars and haggling with these dirty sales people who tell me one thing and bring me back paperwork with something else. I already had trust issues when I walked into Worthington Ford. I expected the same run around….hurry up and get in and drive it and then don’t ask questions, but sign your life away with whatever price THEY wanted! WAIT A MINUTE, THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN THIS TIME!! It might have had something to do with my sales person MARIO, he didn’t look like your typical car salesman, and he didn’t act like one either. He was the most patient salesperson ever! I was left alone to wander around for a few moments; he gave us his card, offered us to assist with questions and told us to let him know when we needed him. He was super friendly and truly listened to all of my needs, YES – LISTENED! I’m so glad he was helping us, I’m very picky and rude to deal with when buying a car, but this didn’t faze Mario, he was honest and upfront when it came to both knowledge of the vehicles AND when it came to making a deal. Like Cal says in the commercial “Only $95 down”! If you are in the Long beach area it’s so worth the stop, and if you are not it’s totally worth the drive! I have recommended Mario and his manager Kamaran to all my family and friends, they are truly interested in putting the customer first! Love my new car!!

I recently purchased a new car from this dealer. I would give them ZERO stars if I could. Unfortunately they have one of the largest inventories around so if you dont have time to wait for another dealer, you could get screwed. English is not the first language for some of the sales and management people here and that hinders clear communication. Most of these guys do not know how to work all the new technology that Ford is putting in their vehicles. One young African-American guy did, but that was it. They also think they know everything so they dont listen when you try to tell them what the current DMV requirements are. (Yes, I had a copy of it for them to read as well). They put my HOV stickers on wrong and the managers just walked away as I tried to discuss it with the technician. ZERO accountability here. Stay far away from this place. I regret buying from this dealer and will do everything I can to make sure everyone knows of their shady ways. Oh and by the way, parts are a rip off too. They quoted a $106 for a part that Cerritos and Caruso were selling for $89. As far as sales, I cant tell you what dealer is better. Cerritos or Caruso maybe. Caruso definitely has all the others beat for service quality. Go see Jose. He is friendly, honest and will make sure you understand everything going on with your car.

I wish I could give this dealership a negative rating lower than one star because this dealership certainly does not deserve anything higher than that. Today we "attempted" to test drive a car but to our shock the salesperson Max Cardenas told us that we were not allowed to. He firmly told us that we would not be able to test drive the Flex or any other new car. He did say however, that we could test drive any of the used ones. We might look young and not that fashionable but that should not be reason for them to discriminate us from test driving the car we were interested in purchasing. Why would anyone in this economy go to a dealership at 10:15pm at night if they were not interested in purchasing a car? Little did this salesperson know that we were interested, we have excellent credit, and we were going to put a good portion of the money down. I would think that in this economy they would try to keep the customers on the lot not drive them away by not allowing them to test drive the car they went to go see and instead offering them to try something they are obviously not interested in. I will not only let my family and friends know not to go there but anyone online who is willing to listen. Do not go to Cal Worthington they have terrible customer service!!
