Its no different than any other department/grocery store. A major plus in my book, are that the employees are around, readily available and appropriately educated in most departments, like they should be. But especially the department theyre assign to. If they cant help you or answer a question to your satisfaction, they wont just give you some random answer which in most cases would be wrong or pass you off to some other associate like you see happen all she much in other stores. Theres nothing worse than being passed around from associate to associate only because they dont know how to help, when they should just take you directly to the item youre looking for or find someone that is more knowledgeable in the department that your item may likely be in. I know that this type of behavior goes on in most, if not all department stores and or any store for that matter to the best of my knowledge. Mainly because Ive worked in many different retail / convenient stores for the better part of 12 Years. Fun fact, most associates are lazy but not as lazy as the department / store managers. In some cases there are still a handful of associates and managers that care enough about your satisfaction during your visit to the store that they will go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you need even if you just came in to get a new toothbrush and you walk out with a full cart general merchandise and groceries that will last for a month. Thats how good they are because they connect with you on a personal level and get you to believe that you need to purchase these items again but in reality you dont because you probably already have most of everything you just put in your cart. LOL Believe you me, there are still many places that are like this still to this day, thats mostly because a lot of people cant travel very far from their apartments or homes because of the lack of public transportation thats provided for the elderly. Correction I mean the lack of public transportation thats NOT provided for the elderly and the disabled. But all in all a Meijer is a pretty good One Stop Shop.

Location, location, location they say. This Meijer serves the north side of Muskegon and surrounding area. Growing up in Grand Rapids, Meijer has been around since I was a tot. Ive visited many stores, and among them, this store ranks near the bottom. It is one continuous goat rodeo with out of stock items, workers blocking aisles, clientele wandering aimlessly (invoking a low-class decorum), Meijer-purchased $0.10 beverage container returns not accepted in the machines and what seems to me like an odd store layout. Also on the topic of beverage container returns, this store has only one machine for glass, and thus is always backed up at that station. Customer "Service" will not take returns. Getting back to location, we shop here when visiting since other options may be miles away. Weve found the staff friendly, but thats just one positive feature. Ill wager that when the Walmart opens up at US-31 Exit 126, this store will pay the price in lost customers. Meijer Corporate, are you reading this?

Ordered a birthday cake over the phone and was quoted $11.99. I arrived, place was busy but only waited about 5 min. Staff showed my the cake (white with strawberry filling, buttercream frosting and happy birthday written in pink across the top. It was beautiful. However, when I went to ring it up, it rang up $35 something. I got assistance and they made a cake larger then I ordered. Even though it rang up $35 they found the original order which said $11.99. So they adjusted the price. Very kind. However, it took me an additional 18 min to have this adjusted. Great store. Clean.

Meijer has a large selection of groceries and other items that you might need. You still need to verify your getting a good price since they are not always the cheapest. The self checkout is worthless most of the time because they are using more and more of those instead of having people cashiers when they are busy.

Clean store and friendly employees. Need more help in the deli as it seems like you wait a long time to get waited on. Noticed that when they have really good sales this store cant seem to keep up with the demand and end up going to another Meijer.

Expensive roasted chicken 7 DOLLARS walmart roasted chicken less than 5 DOLLARS and lays chips 10 oz 4.39 at Wal-Marts 2.50 reg price ... M- perks seem to be costing a lot these days , shop things before you buy a t Meijers .

Quite possibly the best Meijer experience ever. They made me feel welcome and the friendly faces made me forget how this grocery chain has destroys the local market. Simply amazing. I really dont feel bad when I Rob you blind

Waited in line for over 20 minutes (no exaggeration) as the cashier went over every detail on the receipt of the customer a person ahead of us. Cashier was offended when my wife asked what the reason for the delay was.

There are people around when you need then. If for some reason you CANT find a person, there are red phones everywhere that you pick up and speak to a team member. All the team members are awesome and Friendly

Service can be a little lackluster sometimes but otherwise, its your standard Meijer in Northern Michigan. They carry a large range of grocery and other items and its a great place to shop.

My cashier disappeared for 8 mins to go fix a problem at the service desk. I get that she probably just jumped on register to help, but dont do it if you cant stay put for the whole time.

Great store, clean environment, friendly staff, affordable pricing, good fresh produce options. Biggest drawback is they always have long lines at checkouts, not enough open registers.

Im from out of town an was told meijers Is similar to Wal-Mart but was not impressed by the prices and selection for clothing was highly slim to none

I have always preferred Meijer over Wal-Mart ... employees exist at Meijer and if I need help they are always good at helping me with what I need.

Location is great for where I live and store is clean, I do think they need more cashiers at peak hours and grocery needs to keep up stock better.

The produce section here is amazing. The store is always clean. The problem is checking out, which can be a 20 minute process all on its own.

Its Meijer.. that being said it does tend to have a better produce and "fresh" seafood selection than any of the other locations in Muskegon.
