I used to go to this place for over two years. We have donated so much stuff to this charity, probably in the thousands. However, I was greeted very rudely when I walked in today. The staff before used to be kind and friendly, now barely anyone says Hi when I walk in. There were two signs that said "buy two, get one free" piece of clothing. I was excited about this since my daughter needed some clothes. When I went to check out, I was told very rudely that the sale was over Saturday (But the signs were up for, what? 3 days?) The lady even went over and tore it off the rack and had a huge attitude with me. I was very disappointed by this. I do not support this charity anymore nor advise anyone to go there anymore. If they can treat me very rudely, then they can treat those less unfortunate just as rudely.

I have been coming to hope since they were in downtown Oviedo. That has been over 10 years. Since their move to their new location. Prices have increased drastically! Quality of product has decreased! Some volunteers have been very rude. I had one volunteer tell me that on Saturdays when they do the $5 fill a bag, Hope loses so much money thats why they put a limit on2 bags only. They also now do not include tagged items in the $5 bag special. Nor do they have any where posted within the store that tagged items are not included in the 5 dollar bag special for clothes! It is sad to see such a great thrift store that help the community for so many years come to this!

One star may be harsh, but I recently bought a coffee pot from there. Before I got up to the counter, they told me to plug it in to make sure it works, because there are no returns. I did, and it turned on, let me set the time, the plate got hot and everything. If only someone had given me a cup of water, because when I got home, I tried to fill the reservoir, and every drop leaked from the bottom of the machine. This never would have happened at Goodwill or Salvation Army, which is where this baller on a budget will be shopping from now on. I suggest you do the same.

I recently went here with my fellow grad students, and we were blown away by the compassion that the staff has towards the less fortunate. We helped them clean and organize donations, and I was so impressed with the effort put into having everything accessible to those in need. The items were in very good condition and were very inexpensive. The owner even gives items for free to those who cant afford to buy essentials like soap, tootpaste, and other hygienic products. They even have a pantry set up. An amazing place with an amazing staff...I will definitely be back!!

Great thrift store, plus, we like to donate cash, because HOPE helps those who are down on their luck, and serves Seminole County in support of helping folks find jobs, work, and food, as they run a food bank. As we also place computers in churches, after school classrooms, we find monitors, printers, mice, keyboards, digital cameras, kitchenware, DVD movies, and clothes are all at bargain prices, at Hope Chest. Been going in for great bargains, since 2008, and find staff to be helpful, knowledgeable, kind, and attentive.

We are a family 6 persons, we immigrate to Oviedo Florida from Middle East three years ago, from we came to live in Oviedo we want every week to Hope store to get some staff to our home for amazing price (Furniture, Kitchen staff, clothes and ext.) because we has very low income but from Hope store moved to the new place with new Management the prices changed to be not like thrift store, it is look like a new staff store, so please review the prices to HELP THE PEOPLE NOT FOR PROFIT.

I love this community thrift store! Items rotate through here quick enough that you could go back once a week and see a bunch of new items. Their daily specials are great. The prices are already very cheap, and then the special make buying here a no brainer. I do wish they had a larger space because everything is a little cramped, but it doesnt stop me from going back all the time.

I love this thrift store! Their prices are extremely low. Every time I go I find something new. I am impressed with the outstanding work they do for people within our community! Everyone is very very busy constantly taking in items and making things available for purchase. Their dedication to serving others is admirable and I greatly appreciate it!

Cute, clean, and well stocked. Certain areas are a bit cluttered, but there is a great selection of items. Staff is friendly and quite helpful, prices are extremely reasonable.
