I been shopping at island market for a very long time when the asians owned it. Sam is still there working behind the meat counter they have a variety of meat packages .they have bags of shrimp. They make deli sandwiches also. Island market has always been convienant for the neighborhood if you dont live anywhere near island market the ac transit bus # 14 comes and goes every 15 minutes except weeknds.

I live in Sacramento, CA, I come down about once a month to grab a few things. This is the only one I truly like so far. The only peeve I have is that they dont where gloves but, if you tell Sam to have the workers where gloves, he is very good about having them put gloves on and he always gives me something for kindness. I also like that he remembers faces.
