A solid grocer with a large beer/wine selection. They make very soft, wonderfully flavored boules of bread (garlic herb, artichoke garlic) and pastries. They have a large selection of quality and typical foods/snacks/drinks. My wife and I come where when we need to grab a few things for a stay over or picnic in the area. The good news is that they take credit card, and the cashiers are nice and very helpful. Just a warning, while they make fresh bread several times daily, people will often wait in line for it-- it could be gone until they bring out the next batch. The bread is significant, too. Its a calorific loaf that should be enjoyed within 1-3 days. Otherwise, it becomes as hard as a brick (great for soups then :) ). Last, prices are fair for the quality. They make their money on bread, wine and beer sales, but they also carry some quality vintages from local (Santa Cruz, Napa, Sonoma) wineries. Hard to get 2010s, -11s, -12s, but they have them for an okay price.

Quaint little deli smack dab in the middle of this one horse town. They even have a garden plot next to the store! As this area was known for its artichokes, of course I had to try out their garlic artichoke bread, around $5 for a round loaf. They also do a mean artichoke spread. In fact, I made a quick meal of it while checking out the locals (elephant seals). Tell ya what. For a small town like Pescadero, they sure know how to bake bread! Stopped by here yesterday and I thought a robbery was in progress. The sheriff was there, the police AND the highway patrol were all hanging out in front of this spot. Strolling in, I commented, "Sure is a lotta law enforcement for a small town!". They were all there for the bread. In fact one advised to "buy two, one for the drive home." Actually, I had a thought to buy an extra loaf in case I get pulled over! Im a horrible flirt. ha!

If youre looking to stock up for a picnic youll find everything you need here. The wine selection is diverse and affordable. The cheeses and charcuterie are plentiful, fresh and interesting. They have a bakery nearby that produces tasties on the same level as Acme and Semifreddis. Unfortunately D. and I found this place at night when we were driving back up the coast after spending the day at Rancho Siempre Verde. So next time well actually comment on the food. But from what we saw theres no shortage to the selection and the prices are decent.

I have fond memories of coming here once every year after annual summer camping trips in Loma Mar. Two words. Artichoke bread. It is legendary and what theyre know for. It is buttery, filled with generous amounts of quartered artichokes, seasoned with spices on a crisp crust, and has a soft fluffy interior. I recommend buying one loaf for yourself and one to share. Both the bread and the kind staff never disappoint. They will gladly slice the loaf for immediate consumption upon request.

Their artichoke garlic bread is so worth the trip from the bay area! We got there around lunch time and the bread was still warm and soft. I also recommend their Godfather sandwich and any of their other baked goods from the front: giant cookies, cinnamon english muffins, boysenberry strudel...they are all good. This place also has a good selection of BBQ, marinating, and hot sauces. Great place to grab lunch if you are in the Half Moon Bay area.

Cute grocery, the only game in town since the other burned down last summer/fall. Famous for their fresh bread, the fame is justified. They also always have boxes of fresh, local, seasonal veggies and a pretty amazing meat department. Come check out the local goodies and take home some artichoke bread, with a loaf of the garlic herb bread to eat on the way!

The bread. OMG, the bread. If you are from Northern California and yet havent been here, what are you doing with your life? The garlic bread with or without artichokes is a little piece of heavenly goodness in a cruel and dangerous world. Go. Go now. Tell them I sent you. Will that get me free bread? Just go.

Their artichoke garlic bread is world renowned. You really want to buy some and take some home. But even if you buy three loaves, not much is left by the time you drive home. Its really hard to stop eating the stuff. They have an excellent selection of craft brews and local food items

Exceptional fresh baked artichoke bread! I love the big selection of sauces, meats and cheeses they had in stock. We always make sure to grab a little something from the local goat farm. Expect to hit a line for the deli if the weather is nice, but it will definitely be worth it!

There are few better things in life than a warm loaf of Arcangelis artichoke garlic bread. Fortunately, many people know this so theres almost always a warm, fresh batch coming out. Buy loaf. Tear off generous handful. Shove in mouth. Enter state of bliss. Its as simple as that.

I used to love this place for the artichoke bread, and Ive been here several times, but the last time I went in (2013-10-26) the artichoke bread was not that great, and the artichoke tapenade that I bought was simply terrible-- extremely garlicky but somehow also tasteless.

Ive been going here every year on the way to Memorial Park for our annual camping trip. It is the best little bakery ever. The artichoke bread is amazing, as is everything else. Great, great place. Ill be coming here for as long as I live in the bay area.

This place is AMAZING!! It has so much history and character. I honestly have never tasted better bread in my life then the bread that comes from Norms Market. Its authentic and I order it online anytime I have people over for dinner. 5 stars!

Best bread ever! Buy fresh baked or grab a 1/2 baked loaf to finish at home. You can even freeze them then thaw them out later and bake as directed (10 minutes or so). Lots of other local made products too! Great little store!

Been coming here for years but some how it seems to get better every time I come! So so good, artichoke bread is a must, but I also had a scone this time - probably the best scone Ive ever eaten. Also the sauces are delicious.

Great garlic artichoke bread cooked throughout the day. They have a picnic bench in the back to enjoy the great sandwiches from their deli. Portable toilets and wash station available. Bicycle riders stop and coffee is not bad.

Garlic herb artichoke bread is a must have. $5.99 for a large loaf, and is warm when you pick it up. Buy some cheese and cured meats to go with the bread. Id be surprised if you didnt finish the entire thing in 10 minutes.
