The doctor was very good. She was friendly and explained things well. The staff was also very courteous and professional. I didnt have to wait to be taken to the exam but I waited 15 min for the doctor. The reason I give 4 stars is that when I wanted the office to match the price for the contact lenses that I found on the internet, they declined. The prices of contact lenses in this office are MUCH higher than what one can find on the internet. And by that I mean double the price per box of lenses. Otherwise, my visit went well and I would recommend this place for the exams only. Buy your lenses somewhere else.

I went in 2007 when I lived in Houston and the experience was great. The staff and the Dr on Memorial and Eldridge were very professional. I had my first Optomap eye scan and my first pair of rim less glasses. They coached me on the best glasses, were courteous when I returned for adjustments and Dr Amelia was and is by far one of the best eye doctors I have had in my 15 years of wearing glasses. She was patient, explained the whole process, and it was quite an education to see the close-up pictures of my eyes! Love love loved them and I really miss them. No one in CT lights a candle to them!

This must be under new management or new doctors or something because I read old reviews a year or more ago and they dont make any sense. Ive been going to eye doctors since I was five and this has been one of the most if not THE MOST pleasant experiences I have had. They are extremely thorough, very friendly, professional , quick... I was very pleased with the service and even though I am moving from this area to Dickinson soon, I will make the drive to come here for my yearly check up because I enjoyed my visit that much.

Still trying to get my glasses. First pair was not right, so had to re-order. Very expensive, and no clear explanation of what all the charges were for (eyes dilated, couldnt read the fine print). Re-order was rush, but that seems to have slowed down the process. Its 3 weeks and counting since my glasses were ordered. I wish I had gone somewhere else, as I have no idea when my glasses will be ready and whether they will be usable when I get them, I liked the doctor just fine, but the whole process went downhill after that,

I have been a customer of Memorial Eye for more than 10 years. I continue to do business with them because they stand behind their products and more important, their customer. Recently I had a problem with clip on sunglasses and the manufacturer no longer made this product. Agnes and the entire staff at Memorial Eye made sure I found another choice and gave me a discount to compensate me for the problem. Mary, Agnes and the entire staff are my choice when I need glasses.

The doctor was great, but the staff sucks. And it has been like this for years. This is not only my opinion, my whole family feels the same way. We keep going there only for the doctor. The staff are not friendly, will not explain the options clearly, over phone will keep on hold for long period of time, will not call back even after they said will call back. If the doctor I go to moves to another place Ill never go back to this center and will not recommend anyone either.

Just came back from the eye center. Had a good experience overall. After reading some of the reviews below, was a little bit apprehensive. Did not get to meet the rude old lady, though there was a sweet old lady Mary at the front desk assisting with the paperwork, some of the vision tests, glasses and the payment. The doctor who attended to me was this nice young ad beautiful lady called Cindy Esciso, not sure abt the last name.

Great staff, carrying, outstanding service. Let me start by saying I went last Saturday for the first time to this office, which works great due to my work schedule. I was called shortly after felling my paper work. They performed a thorough eye examination and Dr. Porier took the time to examine me and go over every detail and options for my condition. They were very informative and I will for sure continue going back.

I have never experienced such bad service. The reception staff are rude and none of them should work in a service industry. They got my lenses order wrong not once but twice !! No followup from their side, etc, etc. Once you manage to get past the incompetent admin staff, the doctors are friendly and helpful. I would not recommend anyone using the facility unless they make drastic changes to their customer service.

Horrible customer service. I made an appointment two weeks in advance at the Westchase location, and when I arrived for it they said they had no record of it. They made it clear that they could not possibly care less about the situation. Even though it was their mistake, they did not apologize or offer to make things right. I would not use this service if they were the only eye center in town.

Dont go here if you dont have to. I observed the office (front desk people) and observed rude and careless staff. They tried to charge me $69 to see the doctor and all I had was a red eye the day before. I went to cvs next door and got a $5 clear eyes and everything is fine. Visit other locations at Wilcrest or Mall @Hwy six.

I bought my frame from another place and gave it to memorial eye center to cut the lenses for it. They are VERY SLOW! this is the third time that I am changing my lenses and these guys are by far the slowest one. If you want your glasses (broke my previous glasses and I told them I need it urgently) AVOID this place!

Had to get contacts at the last minute for a trip, they were able to get me in and out the same day... They even helped me get the most out of my plan, explaining my options and going the extra mile to check on the contacts I ordered and giving me shipping updates.... I will be back to get my glasses made...

The doctors are fine but the staff is so rude. They are not helpful, make you hold for 8 minutes or more and one even asked me FIVE different times about how to spell my last name. The doctors at Memorial Eye Center REALLY need to up their staff requirements.

Everyone here is very polite. They worked with me for many months trying to find the right contacts for me. I would definetely recommend this Center. Especially Dr. Pham at the Westheimer and /Gessner/Tanglewilde location.

I agree with whats been written so far the doctors seem competent and were decent. The staff however was not very friendly especially over the phone when they put me on hold just to check the price of a box of contacts.

Well i actually read most of these comments prior to going and the service was average. Nothing over the top. I had an appointment with Dr. Emily Porter and she was great worth going to actually.
