Maybe we caught them on a bad day but the moment my husband walked in the door the tension among the staff was terribly thick and created a REALLY uncomfortable atmosphere. The staff rotated him from person to person and Dr. Gates wrote the Rx and passed him off to another associate. They pushed multiple times for my husband to purchase contacts without even giving him a trial pair or quick follow-up in store to see if the Rx even worked. By the time they finally got him into a trial pair, the associate had pushed over 5 times for a credit card and absolutely worn his patience out (which is almost impossible to do). I dont know if they had a bad staff meeting beforehand but it seemed like they could not get him out the door fast enough. Im not impressed or amused with this place and will not be coming back.

I have been coming to Dr. Maltz at TSO in Champions for more than 20 years. He always makes sure that my eyes are healthy and the eye exam is thorough. I have always been pleased with the new frames I chose, and the new prescription does make such a difference. Janet Hardy looked at the frames I was most interested in, took pictures of me wearing the ones we both liked the best, and she helped me make my final decision. When I went back to pick up my new glasses, she made sure they fit and were comfortable. Janet told me the frames might need some adjusting as I wore them...and to come in and they would take care of it. All the women who run the office are so helpful and friendly, as well.

TSO always has really good customer service. The ladies at the front desk are so personable! When Im trying to find a pair of glasses that fit my face that have no problem with me continually asking them whether they like this pair or that pair. The ladies that help me in the back are very nice and patient with me too. When I first got contacts I literally could not get them into my eye, but the lady there was so patient and wasnt annoyed at all. It has a great selection of sunglasses and glasses and overall its a nice visit every time I go.

They keep updating their technologies and the equipment. Very impressive that each year we visit for routine eye check-up, there has been something new that makes the process simpler and more effective. They do seem to be generally under-staffed. Usually takes at least 20 to 30 mins from the time you enter the store to exit, even for simple tasks like picking up of glasses or contacts for example. Very helpful and courteous staff though and that makes up for the wait!!

I have been coming to this office for over 5 yrs. The staff and doctors are the best. They have always gone above and beyond for my boys. My son just got new glasses and the kids at school teased him about his choice in glasses. Well they let my son pick out a new frame with no problems or questions. There only concern was that my son was happy. I love this place and will never go anywhere else.

I have been going to Dr. Wayne Maltz at TSO for at least 15 years and love him and his staff to death! I always have a good eyeglass/contacts testing and fitting experience!! I constantly recommend them to friends and family! They are definitely the best in Houston, Tx!! Both Dr. Maltz and his staff ROCK!!!

The doctors are friendly & thorough & they know how to explain things in a language patients understand. The eyeglass staff are 1st rate. Janet & Katie especially are "finest kind"

They passed me off from one person to another & then gave me the price for an exam $142.00 with no insurance, even though I told her I had insurance! Then she hung up on me. Rude office!
