The place might once be big enough but as more and more people have adapted Indian Cuisine (especially the trend of American and Indian fusion), it has become a mess. The place falls short on every aspect. Limited parking space. The situation is worse during weekends! Adding fuel to fire, SUVs face hard time due to limited space. Next, shopping carts are never available. Youd keep waiting for someone to come out and offer one (if generous which usually is the case, thank god). It makes you feel almost like home (Home meaning India ;)) which isnt quite bad but you get the point. The vegetable section is ever demanding in the store and hence, you CANNOT move your cart in the section. The only way I was able to shop for vegetables is by making a friend stay with the cart on the other side of the aisle and then one by one load the products into the cart. The remaining aisle are not broad enough to let two carts, each from opposite direction to go at once, making it cramped up. I was pushed, moved and even bumped around like a toy! XD Finally, the disaster recipe is completed by check out section. The employees seems mediocre with inability to be able to speak amateur english. Youd only hear basic english words like "Yes" and "No" which isnt bad, given you have no issue or disputes in regards to pricing and billing questions. The place needs renovation BADLY. I mean, like, right now. The store has to plan an expansion given the demand of Indian spices, vegetables and frozen food(s). Store is not well maintained as it lacks cleanliness. Then again, with crowd, its impossible to maintain it. Would avoid going unless absolutely necessary.

I have been going to Patel for six years now and have seen them grow slowly. The proprietor is an entrepreneur and has shrewdly invested in space and content that appeals to a wide swathe of ethnic population of the city. Of course it is first and foremost an Indian store, but he has taken the pains to appeal to all states of the country. The sheer collection of basmati rice and lentils alone are enough to pay a visit. The store has many bargains to be had. For example, spices. Turmeric, Coriander, Cumin, masala, you name it...its cheaper than anywhere else in the city. The produce might not be organic and local, but you can find many exotic vegetables here. For example, bitter melon and bottle gourd. The store is filled with food surprises in every aisle. Highly recommend it if you are a foodie.

This is good place for subcontinental food items. I was shopping here this evening. Staffs were working on stocking products and they were blocking all the isles. It was really disturbing; couldnt walk around with the shopping cart. I told this situation to the staff while checking out and suggested they should keep at least one side of each isle free so that people can move around. The staff was really rude and told me it is a regular situation on this day of the week. If wanted, I could go there on the other days of the week.

The only Indian store that has most of indian items. Other stores are not up to the mark. Only problem is too much crumpled space to walk. Also the loading guys keep bumping in between. There are lot of people visiting all the time so parking place is limited. Grocery seems fresh. Wide variety of spices and food. Its got lot of instant heat n eat foods too.

I used to go there when they started... Now after expansion... I can see more stuff then before.. most of the vegetables are fresh (But I found some tomatoes are ICE cold... not sure) and able to get most of the stuffs we needed... The people working are very helpful if we cannot find anything... I would highly recommend....

Encuentras diferentes productos. No es lo típico que encuentras en supermercados locales. Tienen gran variedad a precios razonables.

I really like their variety of fresh vegetables, especially the ones that are part of Indian cooking. I also like their spices. Their prices are great too. The only thing I hate is congested aisles and parking problem. That is why I am giving 3 stars instead of all 5.

Good selection of Indian food. Prices are reasonable compared to other store but then again there are not many Indian stores in Brentwood area. Parking is always a problem specially on Saturday but usually you can park at McDonalds and walk over.

Great for getting Indian groceries. The quality of vegetables is not good and they are overpriced. You can get better quality and cheaper rates at the Walmart supercenter across the road

My favorite place in the area for Indian foods. There is a massive selection of rices, fresh produce, Ghee, jaggery, herbs, spices, etc. And its inexpensive.

Its a great location to buy indian food in Nashville. The store seems a little bit messy and over packed and the place is usually packed every time I go on.

Given that it is big, I thought there would be more variety than the International store at the downtown Farmers market. Turns out not to be so.

Offers variety of Indian food choices, but a pain for parking. A bit dirty for a national chain. Not so friendly staff but they are helpful.

The best Indian grocery in Nashville. Patel Bros also has the best selection of items and brands. Parking on the weekends can be an issue.

Parking is so difficult to find. So many people in there hard to shop. They do have good and reasonably priced veggies on certain days.
