Every time I go here, some homeless person bothers me. Yes, there is the usual"do you have a dollar?" Beyond that I had a guy leaning against my car, they talk to me inside the store with the end game of getting money, and the same goes outside. 9 times out of 10, they will be ahead of you in line and try to get beer when they dont have money. If the beer costs 4.50, they will say they only have 4.00 and they will ask for a price check and draw out time in the line in hopes that you are impatient or gullible enough to buy it for them. I avoid this location whenever I can.

Most of the staff here is very friendly, and the selection is somewhat better than you would expect from a Piggly Wiggly as this was the formal independent Apple market in Nashville, And still retains some of the character of an independent market. Unfortunately selection and choice are extremely limited and quite odd for a grocery and a now urban environment. If youre conducting anthropological research into what might be on the shelves and markets in rural Tennessee 25 years ago, this would be the place-- Plenty of white bread and generic things.

This is my local grocer and I stop by nearly 3-4 times a week to pick things up for dinner as Im walking home. The staff is friendly and they have a decent selection of your basics. Theres nothing fancy about this place, but if you need some bread, chicken, onions, eggs, catfish, etc, this place has it.

The man in the deli was extremely rude. I ask to have some ham sliced and he refused. Really? Is this not normally what deli workers do? Besides the fact that the ham was for my husband, who is a very ill cancer patient, that can barely eat anything.
