If I could give this store less than one star, I most certainly would. I came to the Turnip Truck hoping that it would be as amazing as so many of my work friends had insisted. I was sorely disappointed. Now, I do not know if I have high expectations or something, but first of all, the cleanliness- or lack thereof- was simply not to par. The first thing you see upon entering this establishment is a filthy dirty floor that looks like it hasnt been remodeled in about ten years. To the left, a dingy juice bar that uses centrifugal style juicing. Many people in Nashville have yet to learn that centrifugal juicing begins to get rid of essential nutrients FROM THE GET GO!!!! YOU ARE NOT GETTING WHAT YOU PAY FOR HERE and I am very upset that I was misled into believing those Hulks were fresh,Absolutely a LIE. The deli food was A JOKE, dnt eat the dolmades they probably come from a can to be honest. they damn well tasted like it. Severely understaffed, they could use some moreh people around to help out but if the store looks as bad as it does they most likely cant keep people around for very long at all. also forgot to mention that you better make sure IF YOU DO EAT FROM THIS NASTY PLACE get food off of the hot bar or get a sandwich from the deli. if you want a wheatgrass or ginger shot GET IT FRESH DONT GET IT OUT OF THE METAL PANS THEY SOMETIMES HAVE OUT that stuff is old and it FALSE ADVERTISING. Lord I hope this business figures it out befroe they get a visit from the health department because this place is a serious $h!th0l3!

Lots of high-end goods (organic, local, quinoa tofu froyo, whatever) without the high price. Youd probably pay more for the same products at a Walmart. If youre health-conscious, a tree-hugger, vegan, celiac-afflicted, or a hipster, or even if you just want a different selection than ramen noodles and microwave nuggets, this is the market of your dreams. They also have a sale bin for stuff thats expiring soon but is still good, so thats great for picking up something youre going to eat the same day. Bring your own containers and fill them with beans and spices if you like. Build your own salad if you want. If youre looking for personal care products (toothpaste, soap, etc) they have that too, but I didnt check it out in any great detail. Within easy walking distance of downtown Nashville, friendly cashiers, welcoming atmosphere. Theyve earned my continued business while Im in the area.

This place is great! I eat here roughly 5-10 times a week and have since it opened due to its location, ease and variety. I dont write reviews online, but when I saw someone gave this place one star it almost offended me. Most of the claims made in that review are inherently false statements, and you can gather all you need to know about the attitude from the statement "many people in Nashville have yet to learn that..." And goes on to knock their centrifugal juicer. You know, us Nashville morons cant comprehend that if you arent using a masticating juicer, whats the point of even eating fruits and vegetables. Its a well run, well maintained small grocery store with a friendly staff and fair pricing. Its a place you can make healthier lunch options and get in and out quickly. There are both cheaper options or more upscale options in the area but for me this place is a staple.

Your basic hipster trendy food/grocery store located in the urban core of the "Gulch" Its small but offers a good variety of healthy grocery options you can outfit the fridge with, basically all the food groups you need. They have a deli area and a small prepared foods display. I bought a whole wheat turkey sandwich for the plane ride and it was much better than anything I could have got at the airport. Check out was pretty quick and staff was as friendly as expected

Needed a place that sold organic food close to Vanderbilt Medical Center as my sister is recuperating from a heart attacked there. I wanted to bring her water melon and juice...this was the perfect place! Their customer service was excellent. I only had whole water melon and Jason, one of their staff, was kind enough to cut it up and package it for me! Their juices were absolutely delicious as well as the food and salads. I totally recommend!

Price wise, they cannot compete with the corporate grocery stores, so do not come expecting that. With that said, prices on most things arent too inflated, and I was actually pleasantly surprised with how reasonably priced most of their organic produce was considering . The staff has been friendly and helpful each and every time.

A nice grocery store selling mostly organic items. The prices are high but the quality is very good. It is somewhat of a yuppie place, and the staff are a bit stuck up or clickish. They dont greet their customers upon entrance and they also do not say thank you. The store needs customer service training.

We live in the Gulch so this is our go to for quick ingredients or to grab a smoothie in the morning or lunch or dinner from the hot bar. The staff is always amazing and the food is good. The only thing I would improve is that the hot bar selection can be pretty limited- or sometimes even non- existent.

Did lunch here for the first time, little grocery store and deli vibe. Had a hot and cold buffet bar and then served deli sandwiches. My sandwich was great but took a little long. Would definitely eat here again if I was in the area.

Small, local grocery store that carries local and organic products. A nice alternative to whole foods. Prices are about the same as whole and a smaller selection. Still a great place to shop and grab a juice.

Nice place. Closest downtown place to get actual food.. I saw they have several varieties of miso paste the other day... extra points for that

Great customer service and delicious food. They also carry a great selection of craft beers and you can build your own six-pack for like $10.

Most things are pricier than other stores, but great selection for healthy and allergy-friendly foods... the only option in the area.
